On being told by our youngest daughter that we were going to have a family holiday in Dec. 2010, we shrugged and said OK, organise it and we'll cough up and between her and her sister, they did. On opening the door, there was that inaudible intake and a silent " Wow - this is a really beautiful place " - The person who enjoyed it the most was our 8th month old grand-daughter Ruby, she enjoyed the enormous internal space, the daily troupe visit of the 20-or-so monkeys either in the morning or the late in the day, cocky sparrows and humming birds. The earlier comment made is spot-on, this really is a suitable generational property for all to enjoy. Whilst it's in walking distance of Holetown, your own personal transport is a given, it gives you that extra option and flexibility. One tip, if on arrival at the airport and you haven't hired a car, do not take an unmarked car purporting to be a taxi - we had hired transport but needed the extra because of the enormity of the luggage. Whilst getting to the Holetown area was easy, it was clear the driver had no idea where to go specifically and an hour was wasted locating the property whereas in retrospect, in the cold light of day, it as just round the corner - not needed after a long flight and day. Thanks to David for the speedy help with the water problem and sending Quentin around so speedily. Kim, the maid who visits 3 times a week you will find is helpful and the price of the property is a steal - enjoy it, your holiday and enjoy Barbados.

Owner's Response: We are so pleased you had a great time at our home in Barbados, we have many friends on the island who will always be there to help should anything go wrong, which may happen anywhere from time to time!
We were unaware of a bogus taxi problem - we always hire a car for the duration of our stay from Stoutes, probably the best car company on the island for car hire. Certainly always very efficient.
After trying to run our busines during the last few weeks, prior to Xmas, we are delighted to soon be off to Barbados ourselves.
Happy New Year to all our guests who have stayed in our home and enjoyed the house and of course the wonderful island of Barbados.
