Choose from one of four luxurious, self-contained suites (1 & 2 bedrooms) each presented in a unique style, but all sharing the same peaceful luxury and traditional character of Orton Hall. The suites all provide a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, living and dining rooms. The Clarendon Suite also features a whirlpool bath whilst the Rochester Suite has a 4 poster bed and a spa-bath. Guests have full use of the grounds including the Great Hall with its grand piano, snooker table, feature fireplace and original oak panelling. Orton Hall is ideal for romantic breaks and peaceful getaways, with beautiful walks on the doorstep, great routes for cycling, a wide selection of golf courses in the region, riding and fishing; and easy access to the rest of the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Exclusive free membership to the nearby North Lakes Spa is included in the rental tariff to add an extra dimension to your holiday. Orton Village hosts the award-winning Orton Farmers' Market

The Rochester Wing is a large spacious suite situated on the first floor at the back of the house. Each room enjoys splendid views across the gardens Cumbrian fells. The living room is large and spacious, with large original stone mullioned windows. The living room has a large feature fireplace, comfy sofas, TV, DVD player, video player and CD/ cassete radio. There is a library of books and videos for your use. The dining table seats 6 people and is set in the large bay window overlooking the 7 acreas of woodland. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday including fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and much more. The master bedroom has an imposing king size 4-poster bed and traditional furniture. The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds which can be pushed together if required. The bathroom has been recently renovated to a modern style and includes a luxury spa bath, electronic shower, WC, sink and storage. Free spa membership included.

The Lake District National Park is the largest in the UK and one of the most beautiful parts of the country, where you will find an abundance of activities and attractions to suit all ages and interests. Orton Hall is a 20-30 minute drive from the main attractions of the Lake District. Orton Hall is located on the southern edge of Orton Village in Cumbria. Many of the village houses were built in the 18th century and have remained virtually unaltered in outside appearance since. A magnificent Norman church stands guard over the village. The pace of life is slow and offers a truly relaxed and friendly country holiday. Nearby amenities include cycling, walking, fishing, golf and riding. Orton Village has a pub, tea rooms, village shop and chocolate factory where you can see luxury chocolates being made by hand. Orton's monthly farmers' market is the UK's first accredited farmers' market and won the farmers' market of the year award 2005.
