The Entre deux Mers region of the Gironde is famed for its wine making, with the historic town of St Emillion being some 20 mins distant. We are situated in the Bordeaux vineyards and numerous chateaux are to be found in the area - many open for wine tasting. The area abounds in gently rolling hills, vineyards, sleepy villages and bustling market towns. The region is also famed for its gastronomies (truffles, foie gras) and its mild climate. Aquitaine is rich in architecture - Bordeaux and Bergerac being fine examples, as well as some of the smaller bastide market towns full of old timbered buildings and cafes - perfect for a spot of people watching in the sunshine. At the centre of the region is the Dordogne River where you can hire a canoe or take an organised boat trip. Perfect on a hot summer's day! Golf, horse riding, water parks, paint-balling, go karting are all available nearby for the more adventurous.

    All prices include electricity costs, water, logs for wood burners. Central heating available at additional cost. Duvets & covers, pillows, bedlinen, fluffy bath towels and towels for use at the pools are provided.
    Gites are available from 1600 hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 0930 hours on the day of departure (to enable us to maintain our high standards of cleanliness).
    Refundable good housekeeping/breakages deposit of GBP300 required to be paid with balance and will be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

  • There are 2 main ground floor bedrooms tucked away from the living accommodation: Bedroom 1 is a light and airy room with a double bed. Bedroom 2 is a beautiful double room with a large wash basin and feature fireplace. The Shower Room is very spacious (shower, WC, wash basin) and is on the ground floor next to the 2 double bedrooms. Bedroom 3 is upstairs via a beautiful wooden staircase and has bunk beds. This room has its own wash hand basin and next to this bedroom is a WC. There is a doorway in the hallway between bedrooms 3 and 4 allowing the 2 living spaces to be separated as required. Up at this first floor level there is bedroom 4 which has a double bed and an ensuite shower, WC and wash hand basin. Bedroom 5 has 2 single beds. There are 2 bright and airy kitchens and separate living rooms making the property ideal for 2 family holidays (you can always find a quiet corner!) There are 2 wood burning stoves and both the kitchens are fully equipped with quality crockery and utensils. The tables in the centre of the kitchen/dining areas have stunning views over the private gardens, pool, neighbouring chateau and vineyards in the distance. One of the living rooms has a beautiful stone fireplace with wood burner and both living rooms have TV (French and English channels), DVD, video, CD player and comfortable sofas and armchairs. There are always plenty of DVDs, books, board games and toys on offer. Le Verger has its own private utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

Ste-Foy-La-Grande – beautiful 13th century bastide town 5 minutes away and with all amenities required for your stay (supermarkets, restaurants, cinema, tourist office, post office, and shopping). Has fantastic weekly market. Canoe Rental – Available at both Pessac-sur-Dordogne and Ste-Foy-la-Grande both with 5-10 minutes. Fishing – We can arrange a visiters licence for the duration of your stay for fishing on the Dordogne (we are only 1/2 km from the banks of the river). Pitch and Putt – 9 hole course for all the family. Horse Riding – Hacks through the vineyards.
