These houses are in the seaside village of Salir do Porto, in a quiete area at the top of a hill but only 8 minutes walk from a safe family beach where the river runs into the sea. Recently a wooden walkway and bridge have been added, particularly useful for those people with small children or who have difficulty walking on sand. The houses each have large terraces at the front and back of the houses, each being able to look over their own pools and the sea. Easy access to Caldas da Rainha, about 15 minutes drive, this town has four large supermarkets and a wonderful open air market in the middle of the town where local fresh produce is on sale 7 days a week. Obidos, the small, walled medieval town is 20 minutes south and well worth a visit, Nazare is 20 minutes North, an old fishing village with the best grilled sardines in the area, or just have an easy beach holiday between Salir do Porto and the neighbouring town Sao Martinho only 5 minutes drive apart.
