This light, bright, 2 bedroom apartment is climate controlled, commands spectacular views over the inviting pools, golf course and out towards the Mediterranean sea. It is beautifully furnished in a contemporary but elegant style. The fully equipped kitchen is excellent for all your self catering needs. It is open planned to the dining room and lounge which opens up to a huge terrace, which has a table and four comfortable chairs and two sun loungers. There is a satellite flat screen TV, DVD player, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc and underground parking. Alanda is a small development of 54 apartments set in a gated community with exceptional landscaping, which won the silver medal for best Spanish Apartment in Homes-Overseas. It is close to Puerto Banus, San Pedro and Estepona. It is a modern gated complex set above the world renown Flamingos Golf course (which hosted the European PGA) and Ritz Carlton Hotel with spa, indoor pool, sauna and therapeutic baths.

Benehavis - the local village - has an array of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Mercadona and Supersol supermarkets are at the end of the approach road (The supermarkets sell everything you may need including all nationality of newspapers). San Pedro has safe, sandy beaches and beachfront promenade is only 5 minutes away. The quaint mountain village of Benahavis is about 15 minutes drive and offers many great restaurants with spectacular views. New motorways have put much of Spain within easy reach - Jerez, Seville, the Moorish towns of Cordoba and Granada, the white walled villages of Casares and Ronda etc. There is winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada near Granada 2 hours away and breathtaking walking routes in the nearby mountains and river valleys. There are several typical 'white' Spanish villages within an hours' drive of the apartment, including Mijas, Ronda, Istan, Casares, Arcos de la Frontera.

The apartment is situated on Los Flamingos Golf Club, which is a superb, modern and highly rated golf resort on the New Golden Mile close to the traditional Spanish village of Cancelada. Los Flamingos Golf is home to the Annual European Seniors Tour Match-Play Championships. The courses are: the 18-hole Flamingos Golf Club (a Par 71), the 18-hole Executive Course (a Par 66), the 18-hole Gran Flamingo (a Par 73) which opened in October 2007. The luxurious Hotel Villa Padierna and this Tuscan palace is also situated a short walk away. Villa Padierna boasts a gymnasium and Spa, amphitheatre for open-air concerts, an indoor and outdoor pool and three exquisite fine dining restaurants.
