Cancelada - the local village - has an array of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Mercadona and Supersol supermarkets are at the end of the approach road (The supermarkets sell everything you may need including all nationality of newspapers). San Pedro has safe, sandy beaches and beachfront promenade is only 5 minutes away. The quaint mountain village of Benahavis is about 15 minutes drive and offers many great restaurants with spectacular views. New motorways have put much of Spain within easy reach - Jerez, Seville, the Moorish towns of Cordoba and Granada, the white walled villages of Casares and Ronda etc. There is winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada near Granada 2 hours away and breathtaking walking routes in the nearby mountains and river valleys. There are several typical 'white' Spanish villages within an hours' drive of the apartment, including Mijas, Ronda, Istan, Casares, Arcos de la Frontera.
