A beautiful 2 bedroom waterfront house of typical Provence style on a very quiet and romantic island in Port Grimaud. This unique village located in the Gulf of St. Tropez is called the Venice of the western Mediterranean due to its colourful houses along a network of canals with direct access to the sea. The 2 storey house has its own 12m mooring in front of the sunny private terrace with deck chairs shaded by a large pine tree during the hottest time of the day. The house can be reached by car over a small bridge with a security gate and has a separate shaded parking. A large living and dining room, a well equipped kitchen and a shower/WC are situated on the ground floor. The first floor has two double bedrooms, each with a beautiful view, and a large bathroom with shower and toilet. The beach and the many typical restaurants, shops and the market are within easy walking distance. St. Tropez can be reached by water taxi or your own or rented boat. Tennis and golf courses are nearby.

The coastal village of Port Grimaud is located at the western end of the famous bay of St Tropez with its azure blue water and its golden beaches. A water taxi will take you through the 12km network of canals along the colourful Provence style houses to one of the many restaurants of Port Grimaud. Enjoy the beaches and swim in the clean cool waters of the calm sea. Go for a walk or ride with the bike through the shaded alleys to visit the typical market. St Tropez and Ste Maxime with their excellent shops, restaurants and bars are only 5km away and can be reached by car or ferryboat. The medieval villages of Grimaud, Cogolin and Gassin within 10km invite you to visit their castles, walk through the picturesque narrow alleys or simply enjoy the fantastic views of the coast and the varied Mediterranean vegetation. The famous islands of Porquerolles, Ile du Levant and Port Cros with its national park are ideal for a day trip. Cannes, Nice and Monaco with its casino are only an hour away.

The house is situated at the end of a very peaceful island in Port Grimaud. It was very clean and had all the facilities as listed on the website. The lounge opened out onto a delightful terrace on the edge of the water where there was adequate mooring space for a 40+ foot boat. It was a lovely location for sunbathing or watching boats pass during the day; it was also nice for a meal or a glass of wine in the evening.

Free parking was provided 200 metres from the house.

Fresh bread and croissants were available 100 metres from the house. There were also a handful of restaurants/bars and a tobacconist within the same distance. A wider choice of shops and restaurants were available in the main Port Grimaud square 15 minutes walk away.

The bus stop for St Maxime and St Tropez was a 10 minute walk from the house. You can also catch the land train from Port Grimaud up to the medieval village of Grimaud.
