Relax under the mango tree in this amazing 3 bed villa with private gardens just 2 minutes from the rejuvenating Caribbean sea. Shelsea is a wonderful and spacious home from home. A beautiful and comfortable villa. Lush tropical gardens with spectacular trees, plants and birds. The 3 bedrooms are all air-conditioned and good quality towels and linen are provided. The villa is very well-appointed and has TV, Hi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. The villa is very relaxing and peaceful; a place where you can get away from it all and yet arrive on the beach in less than 2 minutes. Enjoy the hammock under the shade of the mango tree and illuminate the garden in the evenings to the tunes of whistling frogs and crickets. Shelsea is a very special place!

    Booking deposit of 25% required to secure booking; final payment due no later than 42 days prior to arrival.
    If cancellation made more than 4 weeks prior to arrival a full refund will be payable otherwise a 50% refund will apply unless another booking is secured in which case an admin fee of £150 only will be payable.

We had a wonderful stay at Shelsea in August, 2009. The house is lovely, totally comfortable and the lush gardens make one feel as if it is shangri-la! Ronny, the caretaker, was so welcoming and had even stocked the fridge for us with breakfast goodies! we were so appreciative as our flight was supposed to arrive at 1:00 p.m. and instead, we arrived at 10>00 P.M., so that extra thoughtfulness was wonderful! The house is wonderfully located, close to everything and the beach is a two minute walk. Everything was so easy and comfortable. We actually couldn't have imagined a better place to be than shelsea in barbados! Sheila, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with- she couldn't have been more accomodating and so easy to work with! Do stay at Shelsea... you won't be sorry!
We only wish our stay could have been longer.. we will definitely return!

Honeymoon in January

We had an unforgettable honeymoon at Christ Church. We couldn't expect anymore. The accomodation is great warm and welcoming , apart from both people and noise, and just a 2 minute walk from the wonderful caraibian sea. It's well funished and fully equipped, provided with everything, and every room is different in colour and style. We expecially enjoied the large garden and the afternon relaxation on the amaca under the mango tree. Nights are lit up by a show of colours from the lights hidden under the plants.
We suggest everybody to try such an experience like this we were lucky we had.

Spacious, roomy, home from home Shelsea Villa

Just returned from a fabulous stay at Shelsea.
We looked at a number of properties and made enquiries to the various owners. The deciding factor with Shelsea was the pre-booking service and feedback we received from Sheila - nothing was too much trouble and we received quick, helpful and freindly replies.
As parents with older children there were a mix of 'needs' and Shelsea and its location was perfect for all. Situated quietly off the road and next to the beach the Villa is perfectly situated bwtween Lawrence Gap and Oistins. There's a real home from home feel - Sheila & Jon have thought of everything - right down to the beach towels, board games, music system, and books! The Villa is well maintained, clean and extremely spacious and has the bonus of a lovely garden (& hammock!)
There were 5 of us staying (aged 16 upwards) and we never felt on top of each other
Sheila & Jon have a fabulous network of friends who are on hand if there are any problems and who phoned (x2) to check all was well. Key holder and friend Ron had stocked the fridge with basics and even took us to the supermarket to stock up further!! What service.
We had a very action packed week - beach activities, Atlantis Submarine, Cool Runnings Catamaran, Sea world centre, Harrison Cave, The Crane, Kensington Oval for Cricket, Oistins on Friday night!, The Gap - fun! fun! and the 'Crazy bus' rides in the ZR vans!!
Hiring a car was easy and driving in Barbados no problem -save a few bumpy roads! - Stingray Car Hire is right next door to Shelsea - we toured the island and discovered some beautiful sights! You don't need a car as the Isalnd has a brilliant bus and taxi service but having one gave us more flexibility
The Bajans are fantastically friendly and helpful and love to talk! Nothing is too much trouble for them!
Close to Shelsea are some wonderful restaurants - you are also close to some of the resort hotels.
We would recommend this property to anyone - it suits all ages and is ideal for any type of holiday seeker.
We had the best family holiday and our 16 year old is pining to return already

Perfect

We are a family of four and like/need our own space, so always prefer self catering rather than hotels. This was perfect for us. It was quiet (off the main road), it felt very private, there was ample space both inside and outside (garden) and the beach is just seconds away by foot, which we loved. In addition, while the West Coast is more upmarket, we would prefer to be here on the South Coast, because the beaches seem a lot nicer - whiter sand to start with. It also made a difference to be in a house where it is clearly looked after and loved by the owners - really tastefully created, and from a practical point of view, it was a relief not to have to buy things like bin liners/soap etc from scratch as these things were already there. Sheila was great to communicate with before during and after our stay. We would definitely come back.

unique location as near to safe uncrowded beautiful beach. close to shopping bank restaurants but not in a tourist area . house well-appointed and maintained. feels spacious and very comfortable. large interesting garden, also well kept. highly recommended!
