Lovely ski-apartment in perfect, high-altitude location.

Very well-looked after and well-equipped ski-apartment in the biggest single resort in the world! The accommodation is as follows: (downstairs) an entrance lobby, with storage shelves, and entrance to separate loo. A comfortable lounge/dining area with double-glazed window door on to a sunny balcony. The large sofa turns into a comfortable double bed, if required. An ‘espace de nuit’– a small closed-off room, with a single bed, and storage. The kitchenette is in the living area and has a four-ring electric hob, an oven, a stainless steel sink, a fridge and a dishwasher. Also off the living area, the bathroom with wash-basin, bath and good thermostatic shower; Mezzanine floor: Two adult-size bunk beds (these are wide sturdy and comfortable). On the same floor, a double-bedroom with window overlooking the living area. We’ve stayed in with a party of seven people, and it works! 4 or 5 people would seem luxurious! Balcony is south-facing with sun and wonderful views all-day, every-day.

• Telephone bookings are held for seven days, pending recipt of a deposit of £200. The remainder is payable four weeks before the start of the booking. The apartment is let by the week, but exception may be negotiated in less busy periods.
  

Accommodation and Facilities for the apartment in La Plagne, France

Skiing Information:

Plagne Soleil is at just over 2000m, and so high enough to be in snow for the whole season. There are 115 lifts and 250 kms of pistes at La Plagne (green, blue, red and black) and now access to the whole area of Les Arcs via the newly opened cable car. More lifts and more skiing than any other single resort in the world. Wonderful for beginners and families, but wonderful for off-piste too! Open in high season (and sometimes weather-permitting) is the Glacier du Bellcote, going up to about 3000m - very exciting and challenging skiing! Skiing begins from the main square (down to the ground floor in the lift) which is always snow-covered and where the ski-school begins (you can see from the balcony how late you are!), and then down to the drag-lift (teleski St Esprit) 50m away, or down a wide blue piste to the chair (telesiege Melezes, which goes past the window) about 250m away. On the way home, you can ski straight back to the front door, or if you prefer, straight into the bar!
