Very well-looked after and well-equipped ski-apartment in the biggest single resort in the world! The accommodation is as follows: (downstairs) an entrance lobby, with storage shelves, and entrance to separate loo. A comfortable lounge/dining area with double-glazed window door on to a sunny balcony. The large sofa turns into a comfortable double bed, if required. An ‘espace de nuit’– a small closed-off room, with a single bed, and storage. The kitchenette is in the living area and has a four-ring electric hob, an oven, a stainless steel sink, a fridge and a dishwasher. Also off the living area, the bathroom with wash-basin, bath and good thermostatic shower; Mezzanine floor: Two adult-size bunk beds (these are wide sturdy and comfortable). On the same floor, a double-bedroom with window overlooking the living area. We’ve stayed in with a party of seven people, and it works! 4 or 5 people would seem luxurious! Balcony is south-facing with sun and wonderful views all-day, every-day.

Location: La Plagne in France

Nearest Airport: Chambery at 100 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Calais at 900 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Aime La Plagne at 19 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Albertville at 35 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
Wonderful location - fantastic restaurant on the ground floor of our building with great local specialities. Also good supermarket, lift-pass office, ski-hire shop, and ski-school office all situated on the village square. The ski-school run children's and adult classes everyday (except Saturday) and there is a 'garderie' for children aged 3 and above, visible from our balcony. Within walking distance, but more easily by car or free 'navette' (or even on skis) are the villages of Plagne Villages and Plagne Centre, where you can find more food, shopping and apres-ski activities. All the villages of La Plagne are linked, or course, by piste, but are also within easy reach by car or bus after the lifts close.

You can hire these from our own representative, or bring your own. PARKING: There is plenty of free uncovered parking at the front and rear of the apartments. Covered parking is often available in the underground park under the village square (with direct access to our lift in the basement); please enquire from us or from Bob Morris who is our representative in the resort and looks after your day to day requirements.

Our party of 6 (sometimes 7) has stayed in this apartment many times - it is just perfect!

The location is excellent with skiing for every ability right on the doorstep. Skis and boots are kept in a locker with direct access to the snow - a short ski to the nearest ski lift and the mountains around. this is a huge benefit for a family party which includes grandparents and grandchildren.

The apartment has always been spotless and is well-maintained. any problems have always been speedily and cheerfully dealt with. It is also remarkably quiet.

There is a well-stocked shop on the ground floor of the building - get there early in peak weeks or you miss the fresh croissants. There are a couple of good restaurants and friendly bars for the vin chaud or chocolate chaud in deckchairs overlooking the piste.

Finally the view - its not called Plagne Soleil for nothing - you can watch the dawn and see the sun setting in the evening across the mountains. And this review is being written by a non-skiing "chalet-grannie" - the walking is pretty good too.
