Cannes holiday apartment

The apartment was just what we wanted-a quiet location with good facilities yet within driving distance of the centre of Cannes as accurately described in the property details!
There was plenty of space in the property particularly with the extra downstairs toilet.The kitchen was compact and well equipped.The added bonus for us was the lovely, private garden which had the sun from early morning until 5 o'clock at teatime-PERFECT!Plenty of space for sunbathing or playing in a nice, secure environment.One of the pools was only 100 yards away-near enough to keep going backwards and forwards without any hassle.
Th electric shutters gave you a real sense of security .The local supermarket was near and well stocked with everything you could wish for.There were a few local restaurants but we ate out in Cannes every night as it was easily accessible (by car!) The best value by far in all the restaurants is the 'plat du jour', which usually offers a 2 or 3 course meal at a set price-good choice in each course,good portions and excellent quality.We ate out every night and had superb meals each night.We used the restaurants round the marina and on Le Suquet.You can also ask for tap water!
We used the train one day to go to Monaco and parked the car at Cannes Le Bocca station rather than central cannes,which was easy.
The owner provided directions from Nice airport and also into central Cannes.Once you found your way around everthing is well signposted.
The owner provided excellent customer service in that she promptly answered e-mails and was available at the end of a telephone line if necessary.
I have already recommended this property to friends with children and would definitely use it again if I returned to Cannes!
