Two self catering properties with breathtaking views of the beautiful, surrounding countryside and overlooking Blair Castle (Conquer the Castle as recently seen on TV!) Situated up Glenfender 1 and a half miles from the village of Blair Atholl. The Milton Farm cottage is situated on a working sheep farm and the bungalow Tulach is situated slightly further down the glen in a wonderful secluded garden.The bracing clean mountain air and peaceful setting help to recharge your batteries and wind down after hectic city life. An ideal base for touring due to the central location in the heart of Scotland. Varied and abundant wildlife on your doorstep including red squirrels . The farm cottage is surrounded by fields so your immediate neighbours are the sheep and hens! Eggs on sale when plentiful. Majestic countryside to explore on foot, on a bike or on horseback.

Comfortable, fully equipped cedarwood bungalow set in a beautiful, sunny tranquil garden with views over Blair Castle. The views can also be enjoyed from the sunny siiting room, with sat TV/DVD/video. The bungalow has one double bedroom & one twin bedroom. The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath. Sittingroom has an open fire if desired. The dining kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and dining table and chairs. There is a sun lounge with comfortable chairs. The garden has table and chairs for al fresco dining. There is a washing line for drying your clothes.

Historic Blair Castle with its beautiful grounds and the famous House of Bruar for shopping are on your doorstep. Two hotels/pubs locally and a restaurant and working mill with freshly baked bread. A lovely 9 hole golf course in the village with many 18 hole course within a 40 mile radius, enabling you to play a different golf course every day! The famous Old Course of St Andrews can be reached in 1 hour. Pitlochry and its fesival theatre, whisky distilleries, dam & fishladder and many eating places is only 7 miles away. Edinburgh can be reached in just over 1 hour south on the A9/M9 and Inverness to the North in the same time. Perth and its many attractions is just 30 minutes south. Munro baggers are in paradise surrounded by the Ben y Ghlos while there are many marked trails for the less adventurous! Horseriding, fishing and cycling can all be arranged locally. There is a weekly Highland Night in Pitlochry where you can sample some highland dancing and bagpipe playing!

Golf Details: Blair Atholl has a lovely nine hole course. Many other courses within close proximity. Pitlochry - 7 miles. Strathtay - 12 miles, Aberfeldy 20 miles, Taymouth Castle - 25 miles. Crieff, St Andrews, Newtonmore, Kingussie, Perth (Murrayshall) are all easily reached for a day's play. We can help arrange play if you contact us.

Notes: Rental rates exclude electricity & fuel. Arrival after 4pm unless otherwise arranged. Departure by 10.30am on day of departure. Please leave cottage as you find it to help us prepare for the next guests. Short breaks may be available - please contact to check availability. A Delightful Scotish Experience

My wife and I stayed in the cottage on the farm in Glenfender. It is a cozy cottage well maintained with a nice kitchen, and wonderful sitting room and 2 bedrooms. The best part of the experience, besides the sheep that wander right up to the house each morning, is the family who cares for the property. They are truely super people who are eager to help not just with the house but with your needs to make your stay wonderful. The only drawback to the house is the heating, but the electric underlay on the bed makes it all quite enjoyable.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your very kind comments. You had a particularly cold October with snow! Night storage heating is supplemented with open/electric fires which generally make for a very cosy cottage.
