A good choice for Montmartre, would go again

Well described when we booked - clean, well heated in winter, great location within Montmartre - very easy reach of 3 metro stops (Abbesses, Anvers & Pigalle - Lines 12 and 2), cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, funiculaire, Sacre Coeur, shops etc. Nice friendly little bar in same street just a few doors away and without that many tourists.
E-mail directions and dealings with owner fine and helpful - although 1 thing that would be useful to know is directions from Anvers metro for when you first arrive - about same distance as Abbesses from apartment but Abbesses has more steps to climb than any metro station we have used in Paris so it is a long way to take suitcases if the lift isn't working! Just head up the hill 30/40 metres out of the metro and you come to rue d'Orsel and it is less than 2 blocks up gentle hill from there. We used both metros regularly as its the easiest way to get around Paris.
We stayed as a family with 2 kids and its in a good area for that, but also still only a few minutes from Moulin Rouge etc.
Only a couple of minor things to note on the downside if you want to stay here - the single futon isn't the world's most comfortable, and the hot water is very hot if you have quite young kids to look after.
Only tried 2 local restaurants, both excellent for food and hospitality - French restaurant on the right on the next block of rue d'Orsel towards Anvers metro, and a Cambodian / Chinese restaurant on the left going down the hill on rue des Martyrs.
Finally, our friends stayed in a good clean 2* hotel at the same time and spent nearly double the amount for much less space.
Good apartments like this are a winner for city breaks.
