Not what it seems!

We stayed here this month. This apartment is reached only via a climb up a steepish incline followed by decending 60+ very steep, narrow and often treacherous steps which have to obviously be negotiated again whenever leaving the apartment. It is impossible to get to the beach even the fitest person would struggle, again the way down is via steep steps and alleyways and very very steep slopes, which of course have to be climbed on the way back, impossible, we did not actually get there, 500 metres from the beach is only as the crow flies from the apratment straight out towards the sea. We found that we were 'prisoners' in the apartment until early evening when the temperature cooled slightly and made the climbing a little more bearable. The apartment was not at all comfortable, two very hard single beds pushed together, 1 flat pillow, no kettle, no toaster, no DVD player even though described as a highlight until we texted the owner asking for this and her sister in law brought one round, no welcome pack, not even a bottle of water in the fridge, no useful guidance on area, shops, how to use the air conditioning, transport guides etc. The Supermarket can only be reached via the climb as well. No parking any where near the apartment if you have a hire car, which we do not recommend unless you are experienced in driving along the Amalfi coast, buses dreadful experience, taxi extortionate. Do not recommend at all.
