Fox-Amphoux holiday house. 3 Bedroom Hilltop Village House with Terrace and Spectacular Views

The House: Rossignol offers all the comforts of modern living in a traditional setting. There is a large lounge dining area opening onto the house’s own private terrace. The lounge has a TV with DVD and video and a Hi-Fi system for playing CDs (and to which you can connect an MP3 player). There is a wide selection of DVDs, Videos and CDs. The private terrace has outside dining and relaxing furniture, barbecues and offers both sun and shade through the day. The well-equipped kitchen has a large fridge, cooker, microwave and dishwasher in addition to all the crokery etc. that you would need. There is a useful separate utility room with second fridge (with two drawer freezer) and a washer-dryer and plenty of room for additional storage (which enables you to keep the living room clutter free).

Our ownership: We have owned the house since 2001, when we bought it from friends. It is furnished and equipped as our second home and until 2008 we only allowed people we know to stay there. All have commented on its perfect location, relaxing atmosphere, and that the house has everything you need. We have stayed comfortably with 6 people. The house has suited a variety of people. Two retired couples have stayed in the house for the past 4 years for the whole of September (this year they are staying in July to see the lavender fields) and enjoy visiting the local villages and relaxing around the house. Others have stayed with children and spend most days on the various beaches around the lake swimming, sunbathing, hiring boats and windsurfers. The lake is a reservoir so it can only have electric boats (no noise of engines or pollution). We have put together a guide to the area and can recommend restaurants including our own Auberge (a 2 minute walk!). This really is a home away from home.
