This self catering two bedroom apartment has stunning views down to the Puerto De Soller, out to sea and the Tramontana Mountains and is furnished in a traditional and modern style with American Bar kitchen, living/dining room with fireplace and a large covered terrace. The master bedroom has views out to sea and is ensuite with a shower over the bath, Sky television with DVD. The twin bedded second bedroom has a separate shower bathroom. All rooms have ceiling fans and electric heaters making the apartment comfortable all year round. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, micro wave and washing machine. El Puero de Soller is the perfect place for that romantic getaway or for a family holiday. Being close to the mountain area, Soller is the perfect starting point for walking and cycling holidays. Palma is only 30-40 minutes away by express bus or you could take the leisurely Victorian train from the town of Soller.

Location: El Puerto de Soller and the town of Soller are conveniently situated in a breathtakingly beautiful valley on the North West coast of Mallorca. El Puerto de Soller is a natural harbour which today is home to a thriving fishing fleet with its own wholesale fish market. The town, port and adjacent villages have retained their charm resisting the onslaught of modern tourism to become a haven for those who appreciate the other 'Mallorca. Surrounded by the Tramontana mountain range, the famous picturesque villages of Deia and Valldemossa lie within easy reach of the town and port with Palma, the yachting resort of Port d'Andratx and the southern coastal resorts being within approximately between 40 - 45 minutes by car. Late autumn and winter deals now available.

Local amenities: The beach, shops, restaurants and bars are within a few minutes walk down hill and to where the electric tram links to the town of Soller every half-hour. There are daily boat trips along the magnificent coast and there are facilities to rent small boats by the half day. There is an excellent diving centre and the area is renowned for walking and cycling.

Travel: Soller town is accessed by the electric tram or by road and is approximately 15 minutes travel time. Palma City centre is approximately 30 minutes by car or within the hour by express coach directly from the port. Alternatively, the famous Edwardian electric railway from Soller town will take you through the orange and lemon groves and the mountains to Palma in approximately one hour. Palma airport is around 30 kilometres away and the journey time by car is approximately 40 minutes. We do recommend hiring a car to make the most of your stay although not essential.

Wonderful holiday home

We have just spent 10 wonderful days in April 2009 in Puerto de Soller. The moment the owner's agent Richard opened the door to the apartment, we knew we would have a super holiday and we did. The apartment is halfway up a hill - residential area with lovely villas - and we do recommend a car. The views from the terrace are breathtaking, the area lovely and quiet and the entire house is very well looked after - nice friendly neighbours (multi-nationals) too. It is easy to go on lovely long rambles more or less directly from the front door, and the apartment is very well fitted out so staying at home when the weather is not too good is very pleasurable too - everything you need is in the kitchen. Thank you very much indeed, we needed and enjoyed the rest but 10 days were just not enough! We are already looking forward to our next visit, hope we don't have to wait too long. Great time had by all

We were two adults and three teenagers. Liked the apartment very much, especially sitting on the balcony in the sunshine. Well equipped.

Excellent location for walkers

Just returned from a great stay in this excellent apartment, it is somewhere you can totally relax after a day out walking. A good location for a walking holiday in February. You do not need a hire car but out of season it is cheaper to hire a car than use a taxi to get to and from the airport and of course it makes visiting the supermarket a much quicker and easier task. We were met by the owner's agent taken to the apartment shown around, taken to the supermarket in Soller, shopped and back to the apartment all within two hours. this could not be done without a car. If visiting this area again would definitely rent again.

Magnificent Majorca

Totally accurate description given for this apartment-stunning views of port and surrounding mountains. You really do need to see them! The covered terrace is wonderful and gets full sun from mid afternoon right through to glorious sunset. Bliss. Perfect facilities, including great CD collection. Excellent customer services-very prompt responses to all enquiries made and we were met by the owners agent and escorted right to the property.Thereafter, our privacy was maintained yet we had contact numbers for any emergencies. Wine/basic provisions were provided, although unexpected.This was a great help and removed any need to do a shop at the start of our visit.
We would certainly recommend apartment to anyone. Great base- quiet haven yet easy access to all port facilities and also to Soller, Tramuntana mountains, Deia, Valldemosa and Lluc.
A car is not necessary but is great to have for exploring. Those without a car could make adventure from travelling by the tram from Palma right through to the port area.We would have no hesitation in returning but the Owners intend retiring to apartment (-lucky people!) so it may not be available in the longer term. Go whilst you can!

Ruhige Lage und schöner Blick, gut zum Wandern

Wir können die Wohnung allen empfehlen, die keinen Pauschalurlaub in kleinen Hotelzimmern verbringen wollen. Sie ist sehr gut ausgestattet, besonders die Küche. Der Balkon hat auch Anfang Oktober noch ab nachmittags Sonne, so dass sich jeder einen Sonnen-oder Schattenplatz aussuchen kann. Das Appartment war sehr sauber; nach einigen Tagen wurden sogar Handtücher und Bettwäsche gewechselt. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern bei der Buchung klappte gut. Einkaufen zu Fuß 10 Min. pro Weg.Die Zufahrt zum Ort ist seit einem Jahr umgestaltet worden, durch einen Tunnelneubau ist die Uferpromenade weitgehend autofrei, sodass der Spaziergang dort ein Vergnügen ist.Eine Autoanreise ist wegen Gepäcktransport und für Einkäufe (Wasser) sinnvoll, für Ausflüge und Wanderungen aber nicht erforderlich. Im Haus waren reichlich Informationen über Wanderungen und Ausflüge vorhanden, allerdings die meisten nur auf englisch oder spanisch. Für Strandurlauber gibt es sicher bessere Orte, denn die Lage an einer Bucht bedingt wenige Wellen, aber zur Erfrischung reicht es.
