Spacious 2-bedroom apartment set in semi-tropical gardens
This spacious apartment is situated in the tranquil Los Naranjos de Marbella complex - a prestigious Andalucian-style development. Whitewashed walls, characteristic squares, latticework balconies and tropical gardens give Los Naranjos a flavour of the real Spain, making it the ideal base for the perfect Mediterranean holiday. Los Naranjos is a very easy 40-minute drive from Malaga Airport. It is overlooked by the commanding 'La Concha' peak of the Sierra Blanca mountain range which gives this area of the Costa del Sol its own mini-climate. The apartment looks on to a swimming pool and there are two other pools within 30 metres. The furnishings and decoration are to the highest standard and the apartment comes with all the facilities one would expect from first-class accommodation. In the heat of the summer the apartment is air-conditioned, whilst for the brief and mild winter there is central heating.

The coast and its nightlife
Anyone familar with the Costa del Sol will know that the Port area of Puerto Banus is at the centre of the region's night life. Los Naranjos has the best of both worlds - sufficiently far away from the Port to be quiet, sufficently near to make for easy access. Cars queue to get into the Port from early evening onwards but our guests can either walk in or use cunning back-routes (details available) to avoid the crush. The Port, whether day or night, is always busy. It has a fantastic range of international restiuarants and bars and enough high fashion designer boutiques to satisfy the most ardent of shoppers,. It also has a number of fantastic beaches - most are quiet and relaxed but one has music a DJ and dancing.
Walking
Despite the popularity of the Costa del Sol, because of its proximity to the Sierra Blabca hills and mountains, it is also a walkers' paradise. Within half a mile of busy coastal roads one can find oneself following hidden mountain streams, navigating the sides of majestic valleys and climbing hillsides (that become mountainsides) to gain fantastic views over the whole area. There are a number of good English guidebooks that give details of the best walks in the area.
Tourism
Despite the popularity oof its beaches Andalucia is rich in tourist sites. There are a number of characteristic Anbdluacian white villages near the apartment - including Ojen, Istan and Benahavis. But also within an hour to two hours are Malaga, Ronda and the magnificent Granada - all three worth visiting for one or two days.
Skiing Information:
Spain's number one location for winter sports, the Sierra Nevada is located just two hours away from the Costa del Sol. Located above Granada, it has the best snow and the longest season in the country. One can look forward to five months of snow. Sierra Nevada has 61km of ski slopes with 45 pistes and 6 off-piste routes. There are 2 cable cars, 12 chair lifts and 5 ski lifts. The ski resort is open from 9am to 5pm although you can ski at night at weekends and bank holidays. Night skiing was introduced in 1994 with lighting along the El Rio slope (3km/545 vertical drop).
Golf Information:
The apartment is within 5 to 10 minutes drive of four international-standard gold courses: Aloha Golf Club The layout and surroundings of this course are beautiful. A natural course, it is a bit hilly and offers many interesting holes. It is immaculately maintained. La Quinta Golf and Country Club. This consists of 3 9-hole courses which can be combined to make 3 18- hole rounds. Las Brisas Golf Club This is a picturesque course which has plenty of water hazards and bunkers protecting the mostly elevated greens. Due to this it requires more than just long drives in order to stay out of danger. Los Naranjos Golf Club This is an attractive and well laid out course which is not too hilly but does have some tight fairways lined with the orange trees that the course is named after. Golfers should be aware that there is a big difference between the front and back 9. It is also within easy walking distance of the Marbella Driving Range and the 9-hole floodlit La Dama des Noche course.
