Contemporary furnished, air-conditioned and centrally heated, the house is fronted with a small herb garden for our guests' use and there is a further garden to the side which provides a pleasant aspect sitting on the large patio area. From the 2 large L-shaped balconies, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains and to the sea. Villa Athina is located in Porto Rafti, a most charming old fishing village, a beautiful holiday resort, yet very convenient for the airport and Athens. The sea is crystal clear and currently holds the European 'Blue Flag' awarded only to those beaches with excellent water quality. The nearest long beach of St Marina is only 15 minutes walk. Perfect for a Summer Sea and Sun Holiday, or a Restful Winter Retreat. With one king en-suite, one double and 2 twin bedrooms, the villa sleeps 8 and a baby, ideal for families or 'get-togethers', with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do.

Porto Rafti is a very popular summer destination for the Athenians, mostly undiscovered by tourists, located on the eastern coast of Attica, opposite the islands of Andros, Evia, Mykonos. It is conveniently placed near the Athens Airport while Athens is only 38 km away. Porto Pafti has many beautiful sandy beaches, restaurants and sea-front fish tavernas serving fresh fish/seafood, traditional Greek food and delicious local wine. All main local amenities such as open-air cinemas, clubs and bars, patisseries and coffee shops, doctors and chemists, supermarkets and designer boutiques are about 5 minutes drive from the villa. There is a mini-market and a traditional Greek taverna just an easy stroll from our properties. The pine forest of Kouvara with monasteries and the Attica Zoological park are very close to visit. The area is rich in history. Nearby places of interest include: the temple of Artemis (Vravrona), the temple of Poseidon (Sounio), Marathon, Corinth and Delphi.

  • These rental prices are per week, for the villa, on a self-catering basis, for up to 8 people (all sleeping in beds) and include:
    unlimited WiFi internet, all bills of electricity, water and air-conditioning or central heating, as well as bed-linen and bath towels changed weekly. There will also be some complimentary items to start your holiday.

    Please note that during the Christmas period there will be an additional charge of 50 GB pounds or 65 euro per week to cover fuel costs for the central heating. This charge does not apply at any other time of the year.

    Our pricing is based on GB pounds. We also accept Euros - check our Euro prices at our website or email us.

    We can accommodate an additional baby (9th person) in an added cot at an extra charge of 30 GB pounds or 40 Euro

  • Our top floor spacious double bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, space to add a cot or single bed and has an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower over, toilet and basin. The further twin bedroom on this floor has a sliding door that opens to a large L shaped balcony with panoramic views of the mountains and to the sea. The middle floor of the villa has 2 bedrooms: a double with access to the balcony and outside stairs to the garden and a twin bedroom with a large fitted wardrobe. There is a shower room on this floor with toilet and basin. The floor and outside staircase is laid in white marble. This three floor house has got a stylish spiral staircase. This villa sleeps only eight people to include children, or nine to include an extra baby in a cot for an additional 30 GBp * High chairs are available for babies (included in the price but please inquire) * For pets please ask when you enquire. * Please refrain from smoking inside

Notes: The timber roof supports and ceramic tiles add a touch of tradition to these stylish and contemporary villa and apartment. They have been built and furnished to create 'the perfect holiday setting' for our guests. Newly built to high specifications, 'Villa Athina' and 'Spiti Spiros' are double glazed and fully equipped with private gated secure parking. Both boast 2 large balconies each (appr. 2X8 meters on each middle and top floors) with table and chairs for outside relaxation and entertainment. By road it is easy to walk the 1.2 km to the nearest beach (Agia Marina with sand and pebbles along a long stretch on sea front) and the nearby taverna, mini-market, patisserie and coffee shop are just a couple of minutes down the road. Many of our guests prefer to explore the area and swim at the long sandy beaches of 'Avlaki', 'Panorama' and 'Love cave = erotospilia' and therefore the hiring of a car adds greatly to their pleasure and convenience.

Enjoy the sea and the sun.: Porto Rafti has many varied and exquisite beaches: - The long sandy beach of 'Avlaki' run by the local authority with lifeguards, showers, parasols, changing rooms, first aid room and bar. Really shallow with crystal clear water. Perfect for families (charge for daily stay: 6 euro per adult and 3.50 euro per child) - Many pebbly and rocky beaches (free) for diving and your kids to search and catch sea creatures, nets provided; we also have beach rackets and sand toys for young children. _ The 'Panorama beach' (free) with benches for you to sit or lie (but bring your own sand mats and beach towels), really shallow and child friendly, with a lovely family taverna and bar for cold drinks and ice-cream. - The long sandy beach of 'Agio Spyridona' (free) with plenty of parking, bar tavernas and a small church. Close to the 'Kastro' which is worth a visit for the breath taking views. - The Erotospilia = 'Love cave' (free) fantastic long sandy beach with pine trees, ideal for diving.

Our local beach Agia Marina: Amble down to our local beach, Agia Marina in about 15 minutes, to enjoy a wide and varied sea-front. The beach is in part sandy, whereas elsewhere it is pebbly. This promenade, hosts a supermarket, an ice-cream parlour (Dodoni), ouzo, fish and meze tavernas, nightclubs and Ammos which is a restaurant (with live music venue every weekend). Opposite Ammos, on the sandy beach, there are sun-loungers with parasols where you can spend a few hours swimming and sipping your favourite drink or coffee - of course you have to pay for your drinks to use the sun-loungers. This beach has taken its name from the picturesque white church of Agia Marina.

An outdoor shower in the garden will get the sand off your feet before entering your villa. We will send you information about the area and your villa in a comprehensive guide. We'll recommend places to see, where to eat, suitable beaches for you and if you have children we will give them sun toys, rackets and nets to catch some fish or crabs etc... We also have a guests' book where you can leave tips, your experience and recommendations for our next guests.

The Villa Athina was a great place in many different ways. The location was wonderful only about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from the beach and night life and only 5 minutes from the supermarket. We enjoyed sitting on the balconies and the back patio with the view of the beautiful garden. The rooms were very spacious, clean and very modern. We had 8 people in our party and we all fit very comfortably. There were enough bathrooms to meet our needs while getting ready for the day. Athina and Ron were absolutely wonderful, very nice and friendly. They helped in every way they could to make our stay very pleasant. We highly recommend renting a car while staying here. It is in a great location but it is very helpful to have a car to go to all the different places in Greece. Please keep in mind to keep it quiet after 11:00 pm.

Owner's Response: Greece is well known for the inexpensive drinks and all night entertainment and of course our guests can enjoy these facilities in the many clubs and bars of Porto Rafti. Our villa though is located in a residential area and we ask our guests to keep the noise down, when returning from late nights out, anytime after 11 p.m as a common courtesey.

Villa Athina is a very comfortable accommodation a short distance from Athens and the Athens airport. It is well equipped and close to archeological sites of Athens and Attica. Anyone who would like to be close to the major Grecian sites will enjoy this location. The owners are very personable and helpful, providing information and advice for your stay. The home is well maintained and well kept.

The villa is very well equipped with all you need in the kitchen and a large table both inside and outside in the sunny weather and with plenty of seat for the whole family. A baby chair and -bed was also provided.
The owners, Ron and Athina, were very helpful and told us where we could go for meals, shopping, sight seeing, beach and even playgrounds for the children.
The house has a winding staircase inside so maybe not very good for families with 1-2 years old children, but it also have large outside steps to the first floor where you find two of the bedrooms.
Beds were good and everything very clean and nice and you were given sheets and towels.
A water closet was found on each floor, and even a full size bath(tub) on second floor and a shower on first floor.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: We always draw attention to the spiral staircase to all parties that have very young children in their group. Indeed a photograph of this elegant staircase is shown in our advertising.
There is also, a generous external staircase which links the first and ground floors.

We are two families with 5 children and the house was simply perfect for us. It has also a place outside where the children can safely play. The owners are very nice and helpfull. We had a wonderfull stay, also with a rainy day. It just requires a little attention inside because of the small stair between the three floors, and maybe it is not recommended for families with small children.

Our family (mom and dad with two kids) spent a fine one week vacation at Villa Athina in OCT 2008. The property itself was excellent with luxurious and also practical details. Well maintained and clean apartment in peaceful location with balkonys and an own patio were at least more than enough. I recommend this property for a large family or a two smaller families. Location of Porto Rafti is familiar because of nearness of the Airport and Athens City. We had a car which is also recommendable for You. It is easier to reach all those beautiful things and places in the Attica peninsula and also places in Porto rafti with a car. Owners live in same property so You can get fine tips and excellent supply for your living and activities as we got.
