'Spiti Spiros' is a comfortable, well-appointed, air-conditioned, stylish, 2 bedroom vacation self-catered apartment, on 2 floors. The 2 large balconies with table and chairs are ideal for enjoying your meals and local wine outside. There is also gated secure parking. The apartment is located in Porto Rafti which is an old fishing village on the eastern coast of Attica, a charming and cosmopolitan holiday sea resort that has not yet been deluged by too many tourists. We are located in a quiet residential area, about 1100 metres from the sea front and all amenities are within 5 minutes drive. With one double bedroom and a twin/triple bedroom, 2 shower/toilet rooms, a kitchen/dining room and a separate sitting room (with a comfortable sofa bed) the apartment is ideal for families or 'get-together', with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. Athens with the Parthenon, museums and the flea market is a mere 38 kilometres away.

Porto Rafti is a very popular summer destination for the Athenians, mostly undiscovered by tourists, located on the eastern coast of Attica, opposite the islands of Andros, Evia, Mykonos. It is conveniently placed near the Athens Airport while Athens is only 38 km away. Porto Pafti has many beautiful sandy beaches, restaurants and sea-front fish tavernas serving fresh fish/seafood, traditional Greek food and delicious local wine. All main local amenities such as open-air cinemas, clubs and bars, patisseries and coffee shops, doctors and chemists, supermarkets and designer boutiques are about 5 minutes drive from the villa. There is a mini-market and a traditional Greek taverna just an easy stroll from our properties. The pine forest of Kouvara with monasteries and the Attica Zoological park are very close to visit. The area is rich in history. Nearby places of interest include: the temple of Artemis (Vravrona), the temple of Poseidon (Sounio), Marathon, Corinth and Delphi.

  • These rental prices are per week, for the apartment, on a self-catering basis, for up to 6 people (5 sleeping in beds and 1 sleeping on a sofa bed) and include all bills of electricity, water and air-conditioning (for cooling or heating when required), as well as bed-linen and bath towels changed weekly. There will also be some complimentary items to start your holiday.

    We can accommodate an additional baby in a cot at an extra charge of 30 GB pounds or 40 Euro

    'Short breaks' or 'long weekends' on request (minimum 3-4 nights), for those who would like to have a relaxing time by the sea, soak in the sun and/or visit Athens and other places of interest: charged at 1/5 of the weekly rate per night.

The twin/triple bedroom and the sitting room both open to a large balcony with table and chairs where you can relax, have a cool retsina or just enjoy the view of the area and the blue clear Mediterranean sky. Newly built to high specifications, 'Spiti Spiros' is double glazed and fully equipped with private gated secure parking. The timber roof supports and ceramic tiles add a touch of tradition to our villa and apartment that have been built and furnished to create 'the perfect holiday setting' for our guests.

Enjoy the sea and the sun.: Porto Rafti has many varied and exquisite beaches: - The long sandy beach of 'Avlaki' run by the local authority with lifeguards, showers, parasols, changing rooms, first aid room and bar. Really shallow with crystal clear water. Perfect for families (charge for daily stay: 6 euro per adult and 3.50 euro per child) - Many pebbly and rocky beaches (free) for diving and your kids to search and catch sea creatures, nets provided; we also have beach rackets and sand toys for young children. _ The 'Panorama beach' (free) with benches for you to sit or lie (but bring your own sand mats and beach towels), really shallow and child friendly, with a lovely family taverna and bar for cold drinks and ice-cream. - The long sandy beach of 'Agio Spyridona' (free) with plenty of parking, bar tavernas and a small church. Close to the 'Kastro' which is worth a visit for the breath taking views. - The Erotospilia = 'Love cave' (free) fantastic long sandy beach with pine trees, ideal for diving.

Our local beach Agia Marina: Amble down to our local beach, Agia Marina in about 15 minutes, to enjoy a wide and varied sea-front. The beach is in part sandy, whereas elsewhere it is pebbly. This promenade, hosts a supermarket, an ice-cream parlour (Dodoni), ouzo, fish and meze tavernas, nightclubs and Ammos which is a restaurant (with live music venue every weekend). Opposite Ammos, on the sandy beach, there are sun-loungers with parasols where you can spend a few hours swimming and sipping your favourite drink or coffee - of course you have to pay for your drinks to use the sun-loungers. This beach has taken its name from the picturesque white church of Agia Marina.

An outdoor shower in the garden will get the sand off your feet before entering your villa. We will send you information about the area and your villa in a comprehensive guide. We'll recommend places to see, where to eat, suitable beaches for you and if you have children we will give them sun toys, rackets and nets to catch some fish or crabs etc... We also have a guests' book where you can leave tips, your experience and recommendations for our next guests.

My parents, son and I stayed in the apartment for 2 set of dates in August. The apartment was very clean and had just about all you needed to enjoy your stay. Athina and Ron are very helpful, giving great advice and assistance in getting to the beach. It would have been nice if there were more soft chairs to sit on the balcony and perhaps a nice table with umbrella so you could sit in the sun. Plenty of room for it, although Ron did lend a sun lounger! You do need a car to stay here especially in the summer as walking to the beach is not easy in the heat. We would recommend the apartment.

Greek Holiday in Porto Rafti

We are a family of 5 (2 adults + 3 boys 8,13,15), enjoyed very much our stay at 'Spiti Socrates' (2 bedroom) for a week, end July 08. Porto Rafti is ideally located - about 20 min. from Athens airport and 45 min. to Athens center by train from a nearby station (0.8 Euro and free parking). The place is quite, far from crowded tourists places with fantastic beachs and variety of very good greek food.The appartment was clean, well equipped, great terrace. Athina and Ron were very kind, they send us usefull info before we came and guided us on many things during our stay. We would certainly recommend the place to our friends.
