Less than three miles in one direction finds all the amenities of the popular market town of Ulverston with its wide choice of eclectic shops, inns and restaurants, a championship golf course, sports centre with swimming pool and gym. Two miles the other finds the Crake Valley winding from the foot of Coniston Water through Lowick with it‘s 14th century coaching inn, old Lakeland working bobbin villages, fertile fields and woodland until it reaches the shores of Morecambe bay.

We are ideally located close enough to the national park to enjoy its unparalled beauty and character but also within the Furness Peninsula which offers subtle diversions from the associated bustle of the more frequented Lakes hot spots. The medieval priory village of Cartmel, home to the most picturesque meets on the UK race calender (May and August bank holidays), Haverthwaite Steam Engines and Lakeside Steam Cruises, Holker Hall and Gardens and the Victorian seaside town of Grange are all within 30 mins drive.
