Enter this penthouse and the first impression is all 'WOW' - and doesn't stop until you leave. From the big terrace you have roof views over ancient Rome, and a Postcard view of key palaces and monuments (Including Palazzo Farnese and San Peter Dome). Open on 2 exposures (South-West), this perfectly duplex apartment has a life of its own, and a buzzy, happy vibe. You have nothing to say but smile while meandering through this sprawling space with shots of surprise, space, view and light at every turn. Steps outside on either of your TWO private terraces in the sun and sights. Ideal external spaces where you can have candle light supper. The interior and exterior spaces read as one, affording spectacular sense of sprawl. Come and see for yourself; its OK if you don't want to leave! The apartment is at 4th floor recently renovated (works ended on July 2008) and luxury furnished. It's a mix of Contemporary Design and classical style. The walk-up building (palazzetto) is dated 17th Centur

Campo de Fiori is a large piazza that for centuries now has been a food and flower market with a very appropriate name that in translation means 'field of flowers.' When you are here, you can imagine medieval Romans walking from one merchant to another, and you are following in their steps. The square is surrounded by buildings, small restaurants, and cafes. This Square is schizophrenic! By day, it is the seat of Rome's flower market (as the name indicated) and it's really worth seeing as it is the more 'traditional' face of the Campo. By night, it's a meeting point for Roman youth and tourists and the Campo manages to be even more cramped that the Porta Portese market at peak hour! Though, a lot of good bars are located here (if you can find a seat!). Usually, people make a meeting point of the statue of Giordano Bruno that's in the middle of the square. This statue is here because this square has also been in those long gone medieval times the place of mass executions, and Giorda

Wow! What a wonderful view !

Caann San Francisco, California, USA
Review Submitted: July 11, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We are recovering from jet lag and getting back to our dull and normal lives, but I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much we loved staying at your apartment. I feel so lucky that yours is the apartment we happened upon, since no matter how much you research, renting an apartment in a city you don't know is still a big gamble. You had everything we needed - my son even cooked dinner for us there one night - and it was a real luxury to have a dishwasher to do the only work we had to contend with for the week. While the apartment furnishings were comfortable enough, we spent almost all of our time there on your terrace upstairs. Wow! What a wonderful view and such a pleasant spot to sit and read or sit and eat breakfast or sit and drink wine before our evening meal. And we did do a lot of sitting there, but mostly it was to recover from all the walking we did the rest of the time. The location is excellent for almost everywhere you want to go in Rome so we explored a LOT, although our feet were bruised and battered by the end of the day. The apartment was always a pleasant spot to return to at night, offering a fairly quiet location for sleeping - the noisiest sounds were from the birds in the morning quiet, and how nice that is to hear in the city. All in all, perfection! I'm already dreaming of the day when I can return, since I fell in love with Rome, and your apartment is the place I want to return to. I am so grateful that you make it available for rental.

I hope, also, that you were pleased with us as renters. We were careful to treat your property and possessions with the respect and care they deserve, and while we didn't leave everything as clean as we found it, I don't think you would have any cause for complaint in the manner in which we left it, although we did leave hurriedly, early in the morning, so may not have collected all the trash, etc. We would be grateful if you would have your friend who handles the rentals return our deposit to us.

Again, many thanks for giving us the opportunity to rent your lovely, and very special, apartment.

2BDR APT

rfbc surrey - canada
Review Submitted: April 23, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Apt has a great view as noted, however there is no lift and has lots of stairs to climb. When we arrived the contact numbers provided did not work and we were met by someone who could not speak English. The apt had not been cleaned. Overall the property was in reasonable shape and was very central to all the sights.
I would suggest that you ensure proper contact with owner prior to booking/arriving.
