A fully modernised villa at the foot of the Matra Mountains, 70 miles from Budapest airport, the spacious house set in the quiet village of Bodony, sits at the foot of the Matra Mountains. One hour's drive from Eger and close to the Spa town of Paradfurdo. Our house is the ideal location for walking holidays, cycling, hunting, fishing or horse riding. There is plenty to see and do at the town and castle of Eger, the coach museum and heavy horse stables at Paradfurdo and the ruined hill top bastion at Sirok. The house offers three bedrooms (double with ensuite, single and twin and a double sofa bed in the living room). There is a second bathroom, kitchen, large hall/dining area and a spacious games room in the basement which includes a full sized pool table, dart board and table football. The garden has a large terrace offering beautiful views of the Matra Mountains, BBQ and traditional Hungarian Bogracs fire pit for those looking for an authentic taste of Hungary

Nearest Airport: Budapest (Ferihegy) at 70 Miles
Nearest Motorway: M3 - from Budapest at 30 Miles

The village lies at the foot of the Matra Mountains near to Parad and Paradfurdo with it's Spa hotel and Heavy Horse and Coach Museum. There are riding stables close by and the village boasts an excellent fishing lake where day tickets are available. There are excellent opportunities for walking and cycling, including mountain biking, with many scenic routes for ramblers and more adventurous walkers alike. Close to the castle of Sirok and just an hour from Eger, there is plenty to see and do historically. If you have an interest in geology there is an extinct volcano at Verpelet. There are a number of good local restaurants close by with either English language menus or English speaking staff. The area is well known for its skilled glass engravers and there are many excellent craftsmen who still work and sell their products locally. For the adventurous local spring water can be drunk at source and the ruins of a soviet era labour camp can be visited nearby
