The self-catering “Marcora” flat offers a comfortable holiday accommodation in a peaceful place close to Borca di Cadore downtown, but away from the noise of crowds and traffic. Recently built, the flat reflects the traditional atmosphere of the Dolomites: its wooden furniture give you the feeling of a warm and cosy home. From its balcony you’ll enjoy the romantic sunsets on Monte Marcora, Pelmo, Antelao. The flat is located at a height of 1000m & from it you can reach Venice in just 1 hour and a half by car! The well-known holiday resort Cortina D’Ampezzo is far only 15 min. But no need to move your car, just walking out of the door you can choose between different nice mountain paths: visiting the 'Venezia' haven, the 'Ciauta' Hut or the Borca waterfalls or just cycling along the old railway line. Or you can walk through the woods looking for mushrooms! Coming back, you can enjoy a warm drink or a beer in a typical pub not far from the flat.

You'll have the chance to choose between loads of pleasant pastimes & sports to make you holiday unforgettable, both in winter & summer time: trekking, climbing, visiting WW1 Museums (famous, the one opened by R. Messner on Mtn Rite),cycling,swimming, relaxing at the newly open health Centre 'Corti SPA', taking pictures of the various animals and fauna you can meet on your way, fishing, playing tennis & golf, roller skating, ice-skating, skiing, sledging (also at moonlight after having enjoyed a typical dinner in a mtn hut), watching hockey or polo competitions. Our family lives close by to the flat & can assist you to organize some excursions or give you good tips for where to go to taste typical Italian food (if you don't prefer to cook by yourself in the flat well-equipped kitchen). Moreover in Cortina there are always artistic expositions & many art galleries.This just to give you a clue,we're waiting for you.

Just open your eyes in the morning and you have the mountains view in your bedroom.
I wish we had more time to spend in this beautiful place. A perfect location and wonderful hospitality of Nica (the owner) make staying here a great vacation place for a family.
Perfectly equipped, just step in and feel at home. Spacious, full of light and highly convenient. Add to this the human touch.
Highly recommended.

Great vacation in Dolomites

I have spent 2 weeks in the appartment with my whole family (7 months old daughter, wife and parents). It is great place for family vacation. Comfortable appartment, very clean, with every promised equipment being in place. The location is very nice in general, silent, great views of mountains. The owner is very helpful and nice person. Can recommend to everybody! Will come back.

Good Appartment in a small village, near Cortina

The appartment is good and well equipped. The host, Nica is very kind and helpful. She gave the information about hikes, restaurants and how to take the day trip to Venice, train timetables etc. Some day we even got fresh vegetables from Nica's garden, which is in the backyard. Beautiful mountain view from the terrace!

nice house, clean, everything you need

The house was nice, decoration good, many facilities in the house. It was clean and big enough. We were with two people, but four is no problem.
It is quit. Nice balcony with a nice few. The town is very quit, but 10 minutes later there is a nice village.
The owner is very kind and helpfull. Information about the area is in the house.
The area is great.

Great accommodation!

Two of us stayed for 9 nights in this property. It was our first time in Italy and we loved the area and the accommodation. Everything was super clean and it is difficult to think of anything else that we might have needed during our stay. The kitchen was really well equipped and all rooms very comfortable. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms and spare blankets for the colder nights. We both slept really well as the shutters kept the early morning sun out. Doors between the sleeping and living areas meant that one could sleep while the other cooked and listened to music. A really good quality property and probably the best we have stayed in.
Nica was a great hostess and I felt that nothing would have been too much trouble but fortunately we never needed to ask for anything!
We spent several evenings admiring the view from the balcony and the sun setting over the mountains.
I would return again as the area was so quiet but well positioned for access to local shops and also to a huge area for walking.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
