Villa Las Dunas is a small, modern quality bed & breakfast located in the coastal area of El Medano. We have 4 twin rooms, 2 with superb views across the ocean (we are only 200m from the sea) and two with dramatic mountain views. Our guest accommodation is on the first floor and has its own entrance. The villa offers quality accommodation and privacy in beautiful surroundings. There is a large invited heated pool and terraces. A choice of breakfast is included in the room rate and is served on our terrace overlooking the sea. 15 minutes walk takes you to El Medano a lively and friendly town which boasts lots of tapas bars and restaurants all on the sea front or around the village square. The beach has the Blue Flag award for cleanliness and amenities. El Medano is typically Canarian and quite unlike some of the resorts you would normally associate with Tenerife. Nigel and Jill the owners are happy to collect guests from the airport free of charge.

Nearest Ferry: Santa Cruz at 60 Kilometres

The Villa is just 15 minutes walk to the town centre of El Medano The beach in El Medano is 2km long (the longest on Tenerife) and has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness and facilities. Along the beach front and around the town square you will find lots of places to eat, drink and watch the world go by. The town offers a real variety of restaurants anything from traditional Spanish tapas to some quite smart 'European' restaurants. As the town has escaped becoming too commercialised dining out can be done quite reasonably. There is a great bus service in Tenerife and you can take the bus to almost anywhere on the island from El Medano. Its just 20 minutes by car or taxi to the larger more commercialised resorts of Las Americas and Los Cristianos. You can have an action packed holiday visiting everything Tenerife has to offer from the well kept nature parks to the water parks or you could just relax in El Medano and enjoy everything the villa and town has to offer.

An ideal relaxing base for your holiday: El Medano is the perfect place for guests wanting to experience a taste of a real Spanish town. The town is unspoilt and not as commercialised as some of the resorts you would normally associate with Tenerife however, El Medano offers everything you could wish for: a 'Blue Flag' beach and lots of cafes and bars to sit and watch the world go by. Its fair to say when in El Medano you could be anywhere in the world.

Getting around the island: If you would like to explore all that Tenerife has to offer the villa also makes an ideal base with good transport links to the rest of the island. The villa offers free safe storage for all types of sports equipment: surf, kiting, bikes etc.

Free collection from the airport: Nigel and Jill are happy to collect guests from the airport.

We have stayed at many hotels and villas on Tenerife and found this far superior to all.
Although the location of the villa is quiet and relaxing El Medano town centre with all its attractions is within 15 mins walk along the coastal road. From the point when Jill and Nigel collected us from the airport they couldn't have done more to make us welcome and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble and Jill's breakfasts definitely set us up for the day. We will certainly be returning in the near future and have no hesitation in recommending Villas Las Dunas to others.

Very nice guesthouse, perfect service

My girlfriend and me stayed at Villa Las Dunas for two weeks in January. The guesthouse is very clean and nice, with perfect location near the sea. What makes Villa Las Dunas outstanding are their owners: Jill and Nigel took every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They picked us up at the airport, they made us an excellent breakfast, they helped us out with transportation, and many other things. They are really dedicated to providing a perfect service, and let you forget all the worries. For us this was a great vacation at Villa Las Dunas!

Villa Las Dunas:a lovely B&B on a beautiful island

We always believed Tenerife to be a very crowded island to go to when you wanted to lie in the sun and it wasn't really on our list of places to go to. But then my brother told us (after his stay in the B&B) that we were much mistaken and that we should give El Medano in Tenerife a chance. And so we did because we really wanted a rest and some good weather but without the crowd.
The B&B is an excellent place to stay. Everything is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and quiet and there's a very serene atmosphere. There's a pool but also a nice beach nearby and there are lots of nice restaurants in El Medano.
It is however also a great place to start from when you want to discover the island. And there is much to discover. We just went to Tenerife to relax but we couldn't restrain ourselves and ended up renting a car. The scenery is of a breathtaking diversity and the walks are challenging. The owners of the B&B, Jill and Nigel, were unbelievably and genuinely hospitable and we got lots of very useful advice from them. They also arranged our car and helped us find somewhere to stay the first few days of our holiday when the B&B was full. We visited the Parque Nacional del Teide and drove and walked mostly on the west side of the island. We will certainly go back to discover the east and north of the island and there would be no other place we’d like to stay more than with Jill and Nigel.

Zum einschlafen Meeresrauschen, Meerblick zum Frühstück, was will man mehr?
Wir haben einen sehr entspannten und ruhigen Aufenthalt bei Jill und Nigel gehabt. Die beiden sind sehr sympatisch und super freundlich. Wer schöne Tage abseits des Trubels verbringen möchte, ist hier goldrichtig!

the holiday was fantastic. We were given free storage for our windsurfing gear, great breakfast to start our day and chilled by the heated pool at the end of a long day windsurfing! The new owners Jill and Nigel looked after us and made us feel at home, the restaurants in the village were plentiful and we will be back again soon!
