This traditional patio house is within the town walls of the romantic old Moorish centre of Vejer de la Frontera, less than one minute's walk from Plaza de Espana. It is ideal for a relaxing holiday with every facility for your comfort and convenience. The self-contained accommodation, accessed via a shady patio, is on the first, second and third floors. Recently renovated to a high standard whilst maintaining its original character, the well-equipped kitchen, lounge/dining room and one bathroom are on the first floor with the double bedroom, twin bedroom and shower room on the second floor. There is a balcony from the lounge overlooking the narrow, cobbled street and a secluded private roof terrace on the second floor. Stairs lead up to a large roof terrace, ideal for those sun lovers, with stunning views of the old town, the Andalusian plains and over to the coast of Africa. Both terraces are fully furnished for dining al fresco, enjoying the sun or generally nosing about!

Vejer is a white, Moorish hilltop town on the beautiful Atlantic coast of Andalucia, perched high above the steep gorge of the river Barbate. It is a magical place to explore with dozens of small tapas bars and restaurants, narrow streets with pretty patios, a magnificent castle and beautiful church. There are several small shops and a daily market. The beaches along this coast are amongst the best in Europe - huge stretches of golden sand, many of which are virtually deserted - from where you can swim, surf, fish, fly kites or just enjoy the sunset. The stunning mountains of the Alcornocales National Park are a short drive away and there is golf & horse riding nearby. You can learn Spanish or Flamenco in Vejer too, but the pace of life here is what you make it! Jerez, Cadiz, Trafalgar, Medina Sidonia, the ancient Roman ruins at Baelo Claudio, whale watching or wind surfing at Tarifa are all within easy reach or take a day trip to Seville, Ronda, Gibraltar or even Morocco!

Notes: Beach towels available by prior arrangement and at small extra charge to cover laundering. Wood burning stove in lounge and electric radiator for the colder months. The town of Vejer is generally not suitable for the infirm as there are steep, narrow, cobbled streets. The stairs from the patio up to the house are quite steep as is typical in houses in Vejer, but there is a secure handrail in place. The house is located in the old town and the streets are very narrow. Visitors are able to park in the Plaza de Espana or nearby streets free of charge.

The house will be clean for your arrival and cleaned again after your stay. If additional cleaning is required, please contact us or our house manager during your stay, and this can be arranged. We will arrange to send keys and directions to you a few days in advance of your stay in Vejer. However if this is not possible due to your travel arrangements, you will be able to collect keys from our house manager in Vejer for a small extra charge. Our house manager will call at the beginning of your stay to collect a deposit against breakages of 100 Euros. This is refundable at the end of your holiday when you return the keys to her.

We have stayed at this place several times over the past three years and we plan to go back there again. It's a beautiful, very well equipped little house with a fantastic location right in the centre of the Old Town. There are loads of little shops, bars and restaurants less than a minute's walk away, although the views from the two terraces (probably the best views in Vejer) mean we have often found ourselves staying in and just enjoying a drink up there instead. Highly recommended!
