About 20 minutes from airport via taxi transfer to the apartment complex, the Los Amigos Hotel Complex over from the apartment seems to be the most recognised name to tell taxi and bus drivers during your stay, with taxi and bus stops positioned there. The area is residential and served with one supermarket a short stroll away with most of what you will need provided, there is also a small strip of restaurants (2 chinese,2 indian, 1 spanish, 1 irish bar, 1 small sports bar, we ate at the chinese and had superb food and the other restaurants seemed of similar high standard, the Los Amigos also has a nice terrace restaurant serving pizza and pasta etc ) - other than this there are no shops so the local nightlife is very relaxed and revolves around eating and drinking late in a quite resort so families with teenagers or shoppers would need to travel to fuengirolla or marbella.Taxi to fuengirolla is 12 euros /bus 1 euro , taxi to marbella 34 euros/bus 3 euros , nearby La Cala is 9 euros by taxi and offers another relaxing night out in a quiet more traditional resort - we found that the costs of travelling to all these resorts mounted up over the holiday and would reccomend renting a car as the resort is idealy positioned on main coast road! The private apartment complex was immaculate with gated security although a resident warned us to keep the security grills locked when out as there are occasional security issues in the area. Overall we would highly reccomend as a perfect base for a sun worshipers relaxing holiday , the actual apartment and lovely terrace was faultless with every luxury you would need (pool area quiet and well kept although inflatables and dinghies etc not allowed which dissapointed our children a little ) - overall we would definately go back but maybe rent a car so we could benefit from travelling to the larger neighbour resorts for broader entertainment !
