Great Place overlooking Metro A

This was a beautiful property with two excellent bedrooms, lots of space to store items, 2 large bathrooms (one with a soaking tub!) and lots of amenities. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to make dinner, including olive oil, spices, coffee and balsamic vinegar, and had a refrigerator, freezer and clothes washer. The living room was very nice and the outdoor patio full of flowers and trees was extremely pleasant, particularly for dinner and drinks. Lots of privacy. Many thanks to Fausto, the landlord, for his helpful suggestions and accommodating manner.

Perfect home-base for enjoying Roma!

I stayed in this pretty little "cottage" for eleven days while visiting Rome recently. It's very comfortable, and includes everything you need for an instant home away from home. I especially enjoyed eating my breakfasts out in the garden under the gazebo. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and there are flowers blooming everywhere. The scent of orange blossoms was often hanging in the air. The location is good, very close to St. Peter's, and even walking distance to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, but there are handy bus stops close by too if you'd rather not walk. I found it easy to get around the city from this location. The owner, Fausto, is very generous and helpful, and really went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. He saw to it that my trip was perfect, start to finish! Thank you, Fausto!

Nice, central, sunny garden. With 3 children it was a deligth for them and for us parents. The place is much wider than it looks on pictures, and equipped in all details. The garden is a great help also to quickly dry the laundry. Even if the washing machine is high speed, nearly dry. And again, thanks to garden, nearly each nigth we were dining there. Very helpful owner, even provided us an inexpensive english speaking baby sitter we needed for one nigth. If you look for a piece of quiet country, in a very central region of Roma, without spending a fortune, this is a good choice.

A wonderful time

This well-kept, room-plus-loft "villa" is excellent for the tourist who has a few days and wants the feel of residential Rome. We visited in the winter and could not make use of the little garden, which should be nice in spring and summer.

There is a lively daily open-air market down the hill, where you can get the meats, fruits, vegetables, pastas, sausages, wine, etc. you need to prepare some of your meals at home. The "mini-villa" is best for two, but a family will be able to manage, although eating in in winter months will be more of a problem as the table seats two. In the summer, eat outside!

A walk down the hill a couple of hundred meters in either direction brings one to bus lines and trains that take you to all the tourist sites and the central city generally.

Fausto Rubimarco, the owner, is a treasure with advice and help, and he lives close to this location.

Recommendable mini-villa

The mini-villa was the perfect place for us (2 adults, 1 teenager): quiet (and in a safe quarter), good bus/train connections to all places of interest (Vatican about 10 min on foot), several (super-)markets and restaurants close by; well-equipped and very functional. The small garden was lovely in the sunshine. The owner is very nice, very helpful whenever there was a problem, and generous ; his good English makes communication easy.
The apartment is ideal for 3 people who want to get to know this incredible city.
