Tremezzo is situated on the Western shore of Lake Como and is one of the most beautiful resorts of the area. This great apartment is in the heart of the village and, from its large terrace, offers fantastic views across the lake to Bellagio and Varenna. A car is really not necessary here as local amenities and transport links for both boat and bus are on your doorstep!! It will take you only five minutes to walk to the world famous 18th century Villa Carlotts with its impressive museum and beautiful botanical gardens full of rare plants and trees and renowned in April and May for its fabulous collection of azaleas and rhododendrons.

Restaurants are abundant in Tremezzo and in Menaggio you can find the famed restaurant of the Golf club Menaggio. This is the oldest golf course in Italy; you may even bump into George Clooney as this is his favoured golf course! From Menaggio it is possible to travel by bus to Lugano in 45 mins you are in Switzerland and may even fancy your chances at the famous Casino! Varenna, Bellagio, Bellano and Menaggio are all within minutes by using the extensive ferry network.

Activities: During the summer months there are a wealth of activities to enjoy on the Lake. The Lido di Menaggio offers a natural beach along with a pool for all the family to enjoy! In winter is possible to enjoy skiing on the nearby slopes of Madesimo which is only 1 hours drive away

Superbly equipped apartment, great location. Owners are really friendly and helpful and nearby.I've never been to the same place twice before - for this one I might make an exception.
Only possible downside - you might find Tremezzo a bit quiet (which suited us) although there are plenty of bars to choose from.
You could manage without a car as there are regular boats and buses, but getting there would need a bit of careful planning.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
