Stone built cottage set in the conservation area of the North Yorkshire village of Great Ayton. The one bedroom cottage has been furnished to a high standard and offers cosy contemporary accommodation ideal for short breaks or holidays. Accommodation consists of living room with wood burning stove and sofa bed, dining room, fully equipped kitchen comprising electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. Upstairs double bedroom with comfortable double bed and bathroom with bath and shower. Outside small enclosed patio area with seating and BBQ. The cottage has gas central heating and is ideal for either winter or summer use. All linen bedding and towels included. The village is set on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park and is famous for its association with Captain Cook. Its 4 miles from the Cleveland Way and ideally situated for walkers. 3 Pubs within the village serve excellent food and 2 restaurants all within walking distance of the cottage.

The village of Great Ayton is set within the North Yorkshire National Park on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Centrally situated there is good access to the coast with Whitby being 30 minutes drive away. The Yorkshire Dales is 30 minutes and the historic city of York is within an hours drive. The scenic Esk Valley railway has a stop in Great Ayton and travels over the Moors through 'Heartbeat' country to Whitby. The Cleveland Way passes the village and there are numerous other good nature walks within the area. The area offers many opportunities for country sports be it fishing or shooting. There are a couple of good golf courses within 20 minutes drive. The village is well equipped with a good selection of shops should you wish to self cater. There are also 3 local pubs serving excellent food and a couple of restaurants one with 2 AA rosettes. Another popular attraction within the village is the Captain Cook museum.
