You will find the pool situated in an olive grove overlooking the vineyards. The 8 ha estate is owned by a countess, who produces the estate's own biological wine & olive oil, she lives in a separate house. On the grounds around the very unusual house you can sit or lie down in many cosy corners, hide under some old trees or enjoy the breathtaking views over the superb Umbrian countryside. The exceptional location will give you enough opportunities to relax & dream. The low chemical panorama pool is completely private. The next town is the medieval place Cittá della Pieve, Orvieto is 20min away, Siena and Perugia airport about 35min,Rome + Florence you will get in 1.30h.

A luxurious and romantic private residence, for 2-8 guests. Villa Cerqualto is completely restored using only natural and organic materials, beautifully decorated with antique furnishings of a German aristocratic family, and surrounded by great oak trees and a lovely garden. The house is about 200 years old, warm and welcoming, positioned on a rolling hill from which a marvellous view can be seen, inviting you to tranquillity and peace. A low chemical pool surrounded by an olive grove is provided to our guests for a hot summer’s day, fully furnished with wooden lawn chairs and umbrellas. A few steps from the kitchen terrace is the wooden pergola with a tiled roof and overgrown with Roses, Jasmine and Vines. The table is sheltered by to much sun or the occasional raindrop and you also can enjoy your dinners, maybe prepared by your hostess, she lives on the grounds in a separate house or your own cooked dinner after a cooking class.

Extras

The house has a natural air-conditioned roof and it keeps the rooms cool in summer and warm in winter. Indoor shutters easy to close and open. 2 large fireplaces for cool spring and autumn evenings, one large basket of wood is included for each fireplace. If you come and stay in winter you will find a warm house welcoming you. The house has two open fireplaces. Modern central heating and very good isolation of windows and floors. A communal meeting/dining room and professional kitchen for large groups are also available at the neighbouring house, for separate rental in case of family celebrations, group activities or courses. Often you can luncheon outside in the sun in several sheltered corners of the house. Assistance: Helpful owner-caretaker in separate house, independent from the villa, to ensure complete privacy. Garden, lawn & pool maintenance. Maid service extra. Weekly change of linen & towels. Services upon request: Additional maid service, cook, sightseeing.

Horse rides in the hills and in surrounding villages. We can arrange cooking lessons; Italian lessons.
