We have just returned from our 7th visit to this delightful villa. It is spacious, well appointed, clean and Osman, who owns the nearby Moonlight Pansiyon, is on hand to deal with any little queries that arise.
The friendly village centre is a 10 minute stroll with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The restauruants cater for most tastes and budgets but our favourites this year were Aubergine on the harbour front, Adana for delicious and great value pide (Turkish pizza) and Moonlight Pansiyon's roof top restaurant for delicious, good value, authentic Turkish cuisine and fantastic views over the whole village.
Moving further afield, Patara beach is one of the best beaches I have visited with mile upon mile of fine sand, a great beach cafe, fresh water showers and even changing rooms. A short walk inland from the beach are the remains of the Roman city of Patara with a nearly complete amphitheatre, we were free to wander round the city site and came across a couple of wild tortoises on our travels! The Thursday market was also great fun, my 13 year old son loved bargaining and there is everything from vegetables to turkish delight and spices and jewellery. We hired a boat (Gulit) for the day from the harbour and the captain (Ali on the boat Anil) took us to otherwise inaccessible coves to swim and snorkel, he also produced a delicious lunch and afternoon tea in the price.
I would definitely recommend the villa and we are already planning our 8th visit!
