Bad Herrenalb holiday apartment

I have just returned from staying at this apartment after having the most relaxing holiday with the children that we have ever had! The choice of location is superb; with beautiful views, lovely walks, and beside a lovely stream that you can hear while sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine in the evening.

The apartment is obviously used by the owners themselves as it has that extra personal touch, I especially liked the childrens room - so much space and one of the 3 beds in the room is a high bed with a slide attached. The living room is bright and tastefully decorated and the kitchen has every utensil you could require. The beds themselves are the most comfortable I have ever slept in and combined with the the cleansing air of the area, I had the best nights sleep I've had in years.

The apartment has got a great restaurant beside it - Zu Linde; authentic, very good German food and very friendly service. There are also other restaurants that I would recommend in the town such as the Greek and the Italian.

There's a great swimming pool down the town where you can sunbathe or swim. There are 3 pools; a toddlers, a childrens for playing and one for doing lengths. The children loved going down the slide.

The spa in the town is fantastic! Aqua healing in particular I would recommend, but I also got an all body massage which was great.

There are also great walks around the apartment; 1 very close that leads to a bridge over the stream where we went regularly to bathe our feet when the weather was hot. There's another great walk nearby that the kids loved; there was a natural spring, a tree house and other things to take their interest. This is a very child friendly place.
