Vicopisano is a beautiful medieval village; indeed, one of the best ways to visit it, is to walk along its lanes admiring from close its impressive monuments. Visiting Vicopisano is like going back to Middle Age…just think that a good 9 towers are still present in its historical centre, which date back from the 11th to the 15th century and represent a real collection of medieval buildings, in September the medieval fest in Vicopisano . In June, the 'Luminaria ' for San Ranieri and 'gioco del ponte' in Pisa; in July and August il 'palio' in Siena. There are a varieties of festivals ('sagre') in the small towns ('borghi') during the whole year. The hause is calm and quiet, but just a few steps from the town centre and in a strategic position to reach the half really, by train or bus, a city of art and culture (Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Livorno, Siena) and villages ( Volterra, S Gimignano, Vicopisano, Calci, Uliveto Terme ...)
