This contemporary one bedroom apartment (600 Sq. feet) puts you within a 10 minute walk to the most important sites in Rome: Saint Peter Cathedral, Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The flat is at the top floor,7 flights up with elevator and well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (Cipro subway station is at 100 mt. from the building).The flat has just been completely renovated with a particular attention to details and modern comforts. Contemporary design, fine tapestry and wooden flooring offer its own distinctive look and elegance and make this apartment highly desirable to 'smart travellers'. The double bedroom, complete with a closet, a satellite TV, air conditioning, opens on a terrace with dining table for 4 and view of St. Peter Dome. The large living room has plenty of lighting, free WIFI, Home Theatre and a comfortable sofa bed for two. I spent a week in the apartment with 2 colleagues. The flat provides 3 clear spaces; the living room, bedroom and balcony which I believe is a great asset for providing some private time. It is my view the apartment exceeded expectations. If you have not been to Rome before ensure you buy a Rome travel pass and take advantage of all the public transport that is within a very short distance of the apartment and the travel pass lets you access (bus, tram, train, and underground). We spent 16 Euros on the pass and used it to travel everywhere in the city and the outskirts of Rome. After sharing the apartment rental it cost me less to stay in the apartment than someone I met who was staying in a hostel. The family who own the apartment are charming and efficient.

Stylish Apartment Near the Vatican Museums.

This apartment is of a very high standard. It has everything you could ever need, even a laptop with internet access. Air conditioning was welcome. Decoration is tasteful and smart. The large balcony off the bedroom is very pleasant to sit on and watch Rome life go by. The apartment was spotless and everything worked.

Contact with the owners was always friendly and helpful. The Cipro Metro Station is two minutes away and gives access to the whole Metro System.

This is a residential area and there are not many restaurants but there are plenty a Metro stop away. There is a useful supermarket just across the street and a good pizzeria just down the road.

Excellent accommodation

My wife and 2 daughters stayed in June 2009 at the Vatican apartment for close to 1 week.

It was extremely comfortable, well furnished, the air-conditioning was a fabulous plus.

The apt is very well located, close to a subway/bus station taking you where ever you want to go in Rome (my advise use public transport). Very easy once you understand the system and lines.

We found an excellent restaurant nearby and a fabulous grocery store not even 1 minute away.

The owners are very helpful, very friendly and very welcoming.

If I return to Rome I will use this apt again.

PS: the owner alos has an apt in Paris we ended up booking. Another gem.

Where has this place been hiding ......

I spent 2 weeks at the apartment at New Years . I have been looking for this apartment for years ! It will appeal to both frequent travelers to Rome and to anyone on their first trip. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. The owners Mauro and Carmen were outstanding in their care that everything is going well, as well as giving recommendation on places to visit. The location is excellent. Located close to a Metro subway and bus stop, all locations in Rome are within reach. As well, there is easy access to the Termini and Tiburtina stations for train, bus and airport connections. Day and overnight trips outside of Rome are easy. I would definitely go back to this apartment when I return to Rome.

Wonderful apartment, great location, all comforts

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Rome in Mauro's apartment. Firstly the apartment is delightfully decorated and comes with all comforts. Spotless clean, it is very welcoming and greatly located for exploring any part of town. With the metro on its doorsteps, it was easy for us (and a young child) to reach anywhere in town, without the need of a car or other mean of transport.
Secondly, it is a great accomodation for both pleasure and work travelling. With a very fast wifi, I was able to do some work in the evening, while browsing the network for next day activities planning.
Finally, the hosts are wonderful: very caring, but yet extremely discrete.
Without a doubt, I will return to this apartment as a very unique gem in such a busy capital.
