Photos and Description of this Bergerac holiday villa Very private location within easy reach of Bergerac and surrounding areas.

Our private villa is situated at the end of a track so it is very secluded. It has it's own swimming pool and small wood. The villa is surrounded by the vineyards of Chateau Monbazillac wine with views on all sides to the hills beyond. Our private pool is 7m diameter and 1.2 meters deep with decking on one side with views across the valley to Pomport.Next to the swimming pool , barbecue and decking area we have a kitchinette with adjoining shower room and toilet. In the garden for children we have a trampoline football goal basketball net and a tyre swing to be used under adult supervision and at your own risk. The property is comfortably furnished with all you would need for your stay. Including a dishwasher, a washing machine and even a TV which receives English channels.

Nearest Airport: Bergerac at 12 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Bergerac at 12 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 70.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary
Rouffignac de Sigoulès is between Bergerac and Eymet. Both with shops and excellent restaurants. There are evening markets in July and August in the bastide town of Eymet. Bergerac has morning markets, two museums and a boat trip down the river dordogne. Bergerac has the most attraction to families with a water park, bowling, go karting, canoeing, shopping. All a 10 min drive away next to the nearest super market. Chateau Monbazillac, overlooking Bergerac is nearby. After a tour of the chateau you can taste their excellent wine some of which is produced from the vines growing around our house. Rouffignac de Sigoulès is a good area for walking and off road cycling. Dordogne is full of wine producers who would be pleased to let you sample and buy their wine. South of Bergerac are many Bastide towns built by the French and the English during the 100 years war. All worth a visit!

An excellent property in an ideal location, a real chance to get away from it all. The property was as the web site describes it private, surrounded by vineyards with splendid views. Clean, well equiped and spacious. Dave & Julie were particularly welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the covered patio by the kitchen for breakfast in the morning sun - then round to the other side for the afternoon sun, patio, decking and pool. The location is a real sun trap, however there is always somewhere to be either in the sun or the shade. It is also an ideal starting place to explore the Dordogne area.
I would certainly recommend this property.

Exactly as described, Julie and Dave very welcoming and helpful. Surrounding areas were beautiful and plenty to see and do.

The Villa was clean with more than the usual facilities absolutely perfect for a family with two young children.

I would whole heartedly recommend this property.

Activities we enjoyed included the Parc en Ciel (for budding tarzan and jane's) and horse riding (through the vineyards).

Superb location with wonderful views

This property is just like a home from home. Julie and Dave the owners made us really welcome. They have a great local knowledge of where to visit, what to see and of course where to eat. I would reccomend this holiday home to anyone. The setting is quite beautiful in the midst of the vineyards. One morning we had the priveledge to see deer grazing in the adjacent vines. The garden around the house is a sun trap and with the pool and deck area it could not be better. The main town of Bergerac is a short drive away with shops, restaurants and many interesting sites.

Very welcoming owners who supplied a range of very useful information about the property and surrounding area. Delightful, peaceful setting. Close to amenities and good restaurants. Plethora of marvelous vineyards to visit and taste the wares. Walks direct from gite or well marked walks in local area.
