Set in the limestone hills of Mt Bedassa in a tranquil location between Ostuni and Cisternino, Villa Dolce Vista enjoys uninterrupted views over the surrounding olive groves, leading the eye to the hill town of Ceglie Messapica with its prominent Duomo.Accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms one with a large en suite shower room; a second shower room serves the other guests;a spacious dining room with wood burning stove; an airy, newly decorated and fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living room with large sofa and chairs , TV, DVD, Hi-Fi, and variety of DVD’s, CD’s, books and guides.The outside eating area under the veranda is perfect for those leisurely,delicious al fresco meals.The area surrounding the villa, laid with local stone, has a separate patio area, stone BBQ, and private parking.The large natural garden grows olives, walnuts, almonds,lemons,figs, plums and pomegranates scattered amongst limestone outcrops and meadow flowers rising to a small natural amphitheatre

From its narrow medieval streets you can gaze over olive groves to the Adriatic Coast & its sandy beaches & fishing harbours, just 6 km away. The beautiful nature reserve at Torre Guaceto is a few km south,whilst along the coast a few km north is the spa resort of Torre Canne where you can wind surf and kite board. A little further lies the important Greco-Roman archaeological site and museum of Egnazia. Inland, Alberobello, the home of the trulli has been made a world heritage site owing to its unique dwellings, compact in contrast to the majestic caverns at Castellana Grottos with stunning crystals. Lecce ‘the Florence of the south’ has amazing Baroque architecture, numerous churches and Roman remains. Nearby Grottaglie is famous as the most important ceramic centre in southern Italy, specializing in Greek and Roman styles

Notes: Although children are welcome, because of the rocky nature of part of the garden we recommend small children are supervised in some areas .As well as the front and side patio with BBQ area, the garden rises to a natural amphitheatre with panoramic views from a large flat grass area, ideal for evening drinks and to relax . Beside the villa is a private sunken garden with table and chairs. From the villa, stairs give access to a roof terrace with 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside .
