Charming Provencal Farmhouse with Pool.

Relax in comfort in a 5 bedroom Mas - farmhouse - with a literary history, a large pool, set in 4 acres of garrigue, among olive groves, almond trees and pines with many plants unique to the garrigue. Situated on the outskirts of the Roman city of Nimes. Nimes offers a wealth of culture and history modern and old. Events held in the Roman area are particularly spectacular. July and August have the 'jeudis de Nimes' with live music throughout the streets as you dine or browse among the many arts and crafts or specialist stalls on offer. Alternatively the Pont du Gard is nearby, as is canoeing on the Gardon. Try the Carmargue and the Mediterranean coast. Or change route for artistic influence in arles and historical Avignon. The medieval Duchy of Uzes is also close by with its charming Saturday market set amongst the streets with stalls full of pungent aromas and vibrant colours.

Mas Michel is located to the north of Nimes, on the road to Uzes. Set in 20,000 (4 acres) of garrigue, planted with olive trees, almond trees and pines, it is in the countryside, yet 10 minutes from the centre of Nimes and its Roman Arena. Nimes is ideally located for the roman cities of southern France: Orange, Avignon and Arles and for Montpellier. The coast is 50 kms away. There are many attractions in the area, or just laze away the day by the pool and in the garden.

    Please call for special off season rates and longer lets.
    Please note a 50% non refundable deposit is required on booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. There is also a security deposit of Euros 500 per booking. This is refunded on departure provided there are no breakages or damage during your stay.
    Towels and linen are charged at euros 10 per person. Cleaning on departure at euros 60 per booking
    Clients are strongly advised to take out appropriate health, accident, travel insurance which includes appropriate cancellation cover. The owners and their secretary Mark Butterworth cannot be held responsible or liable for an accident, injury or damage from whatever cause which may occur while clients temporarily resident at the property.

There is internet access at Mas Michel. Your computer needs to have a satellite access. If so you just need to plug in the live box. The necessary passwords etc are in the information book at the house. The washing machine is in the pool room. There is a wood stove in the provencal kitchen and fireplaces in the small and large salons. Dining in the summer is al fresco (on the terrace or by the pool (both 12+), but the possibilities for indoor eating are in the kitchen (6), conservatory (12+) and large salon (12+) There is wall mounted heating (electric) in all rooms, except the studio.
