Luxury apartment In Praia D'El Rey Golf & Country Club.
Furnished to a high standard, having a spacious lounge/diner with French windows opening onto three south facing sunny patio areas overlooking the pool which provide ample space and privacy for sunbathing. These are romantic areas for alfresco dining during the day and evening. Dining table seats six, two sofas ( one can be converted into a double bed), TV with satellite programmes, DVD player, CD player and radio with selection of DVDs, Cd's and games and books. Kitchen excellently equipped with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, iron and ironing board and sandwich maker. There are plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery. One king-size bed and second bedroom with twin beds. Both bedrooms open onto patio areas overlooking peaceful country and woodland areas and the sixth tee of golf course. The large bathroom has bath, shower and bidet. There are ample sunbeds and tables and chairs for outside use. There is a barbecue close to the pool.

Situation of apartment allows easy access to all amenities on the complex. Unspoilt area containing glorious, often deserted, beaches.These combine with crashing waves from the Atlantic to create spectacular views. The waves are ideally suited to surfing.Baleal is a traditional unspoilt Portuguese resort and the calm Obidos Lagoon is nearby. Local woods and clifftops are great for walking. Close to Heritage town of Obidos with its quaint cobbled streets and mediaeval wall. Nearby is university town of Caldas which has excellent shopping facilties including a daily market . Peniche is a busy fishing port and has a daily fish market . There are a supermarket and pharmacy in the local village of Serra Del Rey ( approx 5ks). Larger supermarkets are in Obidos and Peniche. Lisbon is well worth a day trip,as are the royal palace at Sintra and the 13th century monastery at Alcobaca. There are many good and reasonably priced restaurants in the area including fish and steak restaurants

Notes to the rental rates

The above rentals will be apportioned if the period of a stay runs over into another charging period.
A deposit of £100 is payable if the booking is made more than 3months in advance of the stay. The balance is payable 8 weeks before the stay. If the booking is cancelled less than 6 weeks before the stay no refund will be made. If the deposit is not received within 14 days after the date of the booking, the property will be re-advertised as being available for the dates for which the booking was originally made.If the booking is canceled 6 weeks or more before the stay, payments will be refunded in full.

A deposit of £100 against loss or damage is required and is payable at the same time as the balance.This deposit will be repaid within 3 weeks if we are satisfied that there is no loss or damage.
An additional charge of £30 will be added to cover heating costs in respect of any stay that covers any part of November, December, January or February.

Last minute booking for August 2008: any booking for at least a week will be subject to a discount of 20%. Any booking for September or October 2008 will receive a discount of 20% if the period of the booking is at least 2 weeks.

Miscellaneous facilities
The driving range and the first tee are within 4 minutes walk of the apartment. The clubhouse which contains a pro-shop, a snack bar serving meals and drinks all day and a restaurant is within 5 minutes walk of the apartment. There are also tv sets showing sporting events on Sky TV. Entertainment and barbecues are provided during the summer months. There is a water park near Peniche which is ideal for children.
Resort facilities
There is a tennis academy with 7 hard courts and these and tennis equipment can be hired. A summer club is available for children during the summer months. There also facilties for 16 year olds and upwards near the clubhouse. There is a 5 star Marriott hotel on the complex within 20 minutes walk. It has all the bars and restaurants that you would expect to find in a luxury hotel. There is a leisure club which can be used subject to payment of a fee. Bikes can be hired from the hotel. A free shuttle bus can be used to bring you back from the hotel to the apartment.

'A relaxing holiday in a really lovely apartment which has everything you need, you are spoilt for choice as to which balcony to sit out on. The location within the resort is ideal for the golfers in your party, the clubhouse/restaurant and the beautiful beach, which we had to ourselves most days, all are within walking distance. We will definitely book again next year'. 'The apartment was lovely, it was spacious, well appointed and well situated for the golf course and the club house. We had a very enjoyable stay in your apartment and even though we played golf every day it was wonderful to get back and enjoy sitting in the sunshine, on the balcony (great sun trap) with a cold glass of wine/beer until the sun disappeared. The pool and its surroundings was very clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone and would consider using it again in the future if we come back to that area of Portugal'.
Golf Information:
The resort is built round a golf course which has been rated by 'GolfWorld' as being in the top 100 courses in the world. In 2007 Praia-D'El Rey was chosen by leading golf tour operators as 'Best European Golf Resort' and as 'Portugal's Leading Resort 'by the World Travel Awards. The course is very attractive, combining the best features of links courses with those of parkland courses. Some of the holes have spectacular views over the Atlantic. The course is magnificently maintained and is challenging for low handicappers while not being intimidating for the weekend golfer. Savings on green fees can be made by booking starting times on-line.
