Esposende is a fishermen’s village, in the mouth of river Cávado. Here you can enjoy the pleasures of its long-stretching fine sand beach, the stunning river, and adjacent pine forests. Whether you want to relax and explore the historic villages nearby, or make a short trip to World Heritage Medieval city of Guimaraes, the nearby Golf Courses or the Peneda Geres National Park, this is a great location to explore a friendly, authentic part of the Iberian Peninsula. Boasting an idyllic setting on the estuary of the River Cávado, some 50 km north of Oporto, it is a popular resort town for the people of Northern Portugal, who take full advantage of the area's excellent bathing conditions during the summer months. What a fantastic large modern villa. This villa was chosen by us after reading so many positive reviews from previous renters and it not only lived up to our expectations, it surpassed them by far! From the moment we arrived we were made feel very welcome by carlos the owner who showed us around and answered any questions we had. The first thing we noticed is the superb pool and garden area with its well kept lawn which surrounds the pool making it a great place to be for children and adults alike. The interior is of the main villa is very spacious and well fitted out with modern appliances from the bathrooms to the kitchen, which also contains every utensil you could possibly wish for. All in all, it was a fabulous holiday enjoyed by all, and not forgetting to mention some of the local restaurants who served excellent food. Highly recommended

The standard in this property is exceptionally high. Despite the bad weather we managed to have an excellent holiday. The owner and groundsman were very helpful and friendly. The GPS really helped with finding local attractions. We would love to visit again sometime

Our Family first booked this lovely villa last October and found it so good we booked it again for June this year.We would certainly recommend it to friends and family for a quiet relaxing holiday, the villa is excellent value and the decor is second to none, set in lovely grounds which is well looked after by Mr Silva the gardener. We will be booking again next year
