Beautiful little stone house in the mountain village of Rezzo. Recently renovated, the house benefits from a private terrace complete with furniture for outside dining on warm Ligurian evenings. Inside, the living accommodation is on the first floor complete with modern kitchen with full oven and hob, plus a washing machine. Two comfy leather sofas for lounging and a small dining table for eating. Television with UK Satellite. On the lower floor is a bedroom which is cool in summer and warm in winter. It has a double bed and wardrobes. Shower room with basin, toilet and bidet. Central Heating for winter use. Steps to house make it unsuitable for disabled or infirm. This is a great value way to be centrally situated close to many of the best beaches and sights of Northern Italy and the French Riviera. The historic village of Rezzo has two small shops, bar and pizzeria (hours vary). In nearby Pieve di Teco there is a full array of shops and restaurants.

Nearest Ferry: Savona at 45 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Imperia at 28 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Imperia Est at 27 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 28.0 Kilometres

The superb beach resorts of Alassio and Diano Marina are a 30 minute drive from Rezzo. There are numerous other resorts and towns of varying sizes to explore all along the Ligurian coast. San Remo with its grand casino, music and film festivals is an hour away. Glamourous Monaco and the French Riviera are an hour away. Portofino and the Cinque Terre are an easy day trip. Inland nearby are the towns of Dolceaqua with its bridge that inspired Monet, the artist’s enclave of Bussana Vecchia and Triora famous for its witches and snails (the small road from Rezzo to Triora rewards careful drivers with spectacular mountain and sea views)! Turin is 2 hours away (and has good value flights). There are festivals with great food, wine, and dancing in villages throughout the summer. There are large hypermarkets in Imperia (28km) There are walks in the forest just above the village and along the river in the valley below. There are good bird watching and/or photography opportunities

  • - From 1 April to 31 October each year (Summer) - Prices quoted include gas, electricity, bedding, linen, initial cleaning access to an English speaking emergency contact in Italy.
    - From 1 November to 31 March each year (Winter) - Prices quoted include all of the above except Gas and Electricity which are charged separately at a rate of £50 per night. Unfortunately Gas and Electicity prices are very high in Italy and we cannot absorb these into our daily rate.
  • Non refundable deposit of £100 required at time of booking. Final payment required 4 weeks before rental. Payment by Cheque, Cash or Credit Card.

We looked for a holiday away from it all. We found it in this small village in wonderful surroundings.
From the owner we received a lot of useful information - where to shop, to eat, suggestions of what to see etc.
The house was nice and clean, though a little bit dark inside. Each time you go by car towards the sea you must calculate about 30 minutes on narrow roads.

We really enjoyed our stay.
