The layout:
The front door of No 4 Rue des Mariniers opens into the hallway, with the shower room off to the left. The hall leads to the well-equipped kitchen, which has a large dining table. From here a door leads outside to the two-tiered terrace, which gives a great view over the river. Wooden stairs lead from the hallway up to the main sitting room, which features a large open fireplace with a traditional 'Godin' wood burning stove, and satellite TV. The two double bedrooms lead off from the sitting room.
Dial up internet access is possible from the cottage and there is DSL/Broadband access just 5 minutes from the cottage. Wifi access is available now in Prayssac - 5 minutes by car
The area:
The village of Puy l'Évêque is said to be one of the prettiest in the region, with many golden houses clustering alongside the narrow medieval streets. Everyday shopping, including fresh local produce, can be bought in the village, and there are cafés and restaurants for sitting and relaxing. There is lots to explore in the area, with caves, museums, churches, castles, and a great many little medieval villages, for which the Lot is famous. Plenty of activities are available, including tennis, horse riding, rock climbing and many marked cycle and walking routes. Just across the river there is a swimming pool, which is great on hot summer days.
There is also the Dordogne to explore and Sarlat is well worth a visit.

.......And a litle more:
The beautiful, unspoilt region of the Midi-Pyrénées lies in the heart of southwestern France. The river Lot runs through the middle of this region. Above its deep valleys perch impregnable castles and cliff-top towns such as Rocamadour. The region has hot summers and mild winters, and with the river running through the valley, the area stays fertile and green all year round. Much of this wonderful region is still un-industrialised, but tourist and cultural activities are well developed, with many sports and leisure activities. There is plenty to see in the towns and villages of the region. The village of Bélaye has a wonderful view across the Lot valley, and the 15th century church is worth a visit to marvel at its construction. Prayssac is a lively little town in the heart of the vineyards.
A little more on the airports, the closest are: Bergerac, Toulouse, Limoges, Rodez and Bordeaux
