The Chauffeurs Cottage and Studio are self-catering holiday cottages renovated to a very high standard last year with all the bedrooms having en-suite or private bathrooms. They are in the heart of the idyllic Kinblethmont Estate surrounded by woodland filled with birdsong. From the cottages you can follow the farm tracks on several walks (or bicycle rides) through woodland or up the hill from where there are extensive views of the Angus hills and the sea. There is a golf course next door and beaches, birdwatching, fishing, horseriding, historic sights and tourist attractions all available locally. The Studio (sleeps 4) has two en-suite bedrooms and the Chauffeur's cottage (sleeps 6 plus sofabed) has three bedrooms all with private or en-suite bathrooms. THE TWO COTTAGES CAN BE JOINED TO GIVE A LARGE HOLIDAY HOUSE SLEEPING 10/12. They are next door to historic Kinblethmont house a private residence that occasionally hosts art exhibitions showcasing local contemporary art.

The Studio has been recently renovated to a very high standard with each bedroom having its own en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms are equipped with goose feather and down duvets and pillows and have silky soft percale bed linen and plenty of fluffy white towels are provided. The studio has full central heating and there is plenty of hot water. As you enter the Studio there is an entrance vestibule with coat hanging space leading on to the downstairs WC. The ground floor is open plan. To the left of the open tread staircase is the fully equipped kitchen with solid wood work tops and the dining area. To the right is the seating area with comfortable seating for 4, TV & video and lovely views out over Kinblethmont Garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a double with ensuite shower room and Bedroom 2 is a twin (or large double) with ensuite bath room. The Studio can be joined to the Chauffeur's Cottage giving a large holiday house sleeping 10/12.

The Chauffeurs Cottage and Studio are ideally placed for many of Scotland's pasttimes and attractions. There are the beautiful beaches at Lunan Bay and Montrose close by whilst the Angus hills are only a short drive away. We have Letham Grange golf course on our doorstep with the championship course of Carnoustie only 14 miles away -there also many other courses to chose from. The historic attractions of Glamis and Donnatar castles and the Palace of Scone are also easily accessible. There are several tourist attractions in Dundee, including the multi award winning RSS Discovery and Sensation science centre. Closer to home we have Barry Mill and Montrose wildlife centre while our local town Arbroath is an atmospheric place to wander around the harbour and sample the famous Arbroath smokie. River/loch or sea fishing are popular and horse riding and various country pursuits can also be arranged.

At our arrival we were very kindly met of the owner,Jessica, who also had been sending us very usefull informations. it was very easy to find the location, which at no point was any less as we expected. The standard was excellent, and this is surely a place we would recommend anyone seeking lovely nature and landly cosyness. At all times we where welcome to contact the owner, which we tried once, when we had accidentally activated the fire-alarms!!(well done chicken in the oven) Many wonderfull nature-experiences with in one-two hours drive form this place.. Our two teenage-boys was very happy for the free wireless. Own or rentet car nessecery. Very nice town,Abroath, near by. A place we very much hope to visit again.
