A beautiful recently renovated cottage in a stunning coastal location. Superb rural scenery yet 7 minutes drive from nearby small town of Rosscarbery. Small shingle beach within walking distance (7 minutes) from the house. Ideal location from which to explore West Cork. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard. This cottage combines a beautiful location with a quality interior with all the modern utilities and aplliances necessary for a relaxing stay.

Crab Cottage is ideally situated between Mill Cove and Glandore in the heart of West Cork, one of the most magical and tranquil parts of Ireland. The cottage is in a rural location, high above the Roury River valley affording magnificent panoramic views. You can see the sea, Galley Head lighthouse, Long Strand and Mill Cove slipway, the river valley, Coppinger's Court and distant Dunmanway Mountains. The is a small shingle beach 7 minutes walk away. Rosscarbery is the nearest town and is situated 7 minutes away by car to the east. Other places within easy reach include Glandore, Clonakilty and Skibbereen. We have produced a very comprehensive free guide to the local area 'The Not-So-Rough Guide to West Cork' which we update regularly and is available from our website or on request. The guide is based on our own extensive experience and covers all sorts of activities available locally from eating out and food shopping to fishing, whale watching, walking, places to visit etc etc

Notes: The kitchen area comprises teak worktops, electric range oven and extractor and inset double ceramic sink. There is a dishwaher, Smeg fridge and Dualit toaster. Guests who enjoy cooking will find the kitchen excellently equipped with a good range of quality utensils etc. The utility room has further hardwood worktops, Belfast sink, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave and plenty of storage/drying space for outdoor clothes and shoes. The living area downstairs (kitchen/dining/lounge) is open plan with a wood/peat burning stove, in addition to the central heating throughout. There are selection of books available including walking guides, cookery books and books on local natural history. A modest selection of DVDs is available, some of which are suitable for children. There is a wooden deck beside the house and hardwood garden table and chairs. The garden is fantastic to play in with a swing made from an old buoy, and a basketball hoop, however please note it is not enclosed.
