Restaurants and Bars: Onsite-The Clubhouse offers a menu service for breakfast, light meals and snacks, so you can enjoy a traditional English breakfast, or choose a meal from a menu that features a wide variety of international dishes. Throughout the day you can choose from cakes and pastries, teas and coffees. The Cheeseburgers are FAB and this is a wonderful place to have lunch overlooking the greens. The Prime golf bar with direct access to the terrace, with views over the driving range and tennis courts. A ‘snack & salads’ menu is available and drinks are served until the bar closes at 1am. Nearby-La Paisagem is a Portuguese style restaurant and is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. The Languistiera restaurant. A must for wine buffs – they know their stuff. Ask for Paulo or Bernardino who will tempt you with a cellar insured for 2 million Euros. At Vilamoura Marina there are great eateries including the famous Sete bar, & others where fish is the speciality. You're spoilt for choice!

Golf: 30% discount on golf at Vila Sol when using discount card. The apartment is set within the beautiful 27-hole Vila Sol golf course. This Championship course has twice hosted the Portuguese Open. Other golf courses include Quinta do Lago 15 mins away, Vale do Lobo 12 mins away, Old Course 5 mins away, Pinhal 5 mins away, Millennium 5 mins away, Victoria 8 mins away, Laguna 8 mins away.

The apartment was truly splendid - extremely spacious with ample, comfortable and modern furnishings.

Set in a quiet location yet minutes from local amenities, restaurants and of course golf, there was simply nothing that could be faulted. In addition, the south facing balcony was a pleasure in early morning as the sun appeared.

Highly recommended, with very attentative owners ensuring the booking arrangements and associated paperwork was a doddle.

An excellent, 1st floor apartment with lovely grounds and gated swimming pools.
The drive from Faro Airport took about 25 minutes. A little tip – Vila Sol was not recognised by our Sat. Nav. as a place, but was found in the Places of Interest section under Golf Courses.
The apartment itself was bright, airy and a pleasure to walk into following the journey. A lot of the furniture looked quite new. There were two good size bedrooms one with an en suite.
The railings on the balcony had been protected against small children climbing through so the apartment seemed very child friendly.
There is a Supermarket and several good restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. We tried several recommended in the Apartment Information and Visitors book, but in truth we didn’t have a bad meal anywhere during our stay. Vilamoura Marina was only a 5 minute drive away which has dozens of restaurant.
Look out for Marufos 1 and 2 (not sure that is the correct spelling) on the way to the Vila Sol beach. Marufos 2 is very good and the locals eat there. Also the restaurant on the roundabout as you leave the Vila Sol towards Quartera, La Paisegm
The Spa is excellent for a bit of self pampering and also has a ladies hairdressers.
I don’t play golf myself but it was great watching from the clubhouse bar (the food there is also very good).
The local area was great to explore. There are plenty interesting small villages to see and Faro Old Town is also well worth a visit. The Market at Loule was really good.
There is a Water Park near Vila Sol (although we did not get to it) and Zoo Marine (which we did). Zoo Marine is close to Shopping Algave. As we are a little passed our sell by date we also went to Cliff Richard’s Vineyard, which is beautiful and just behind The Shopping Algave complex.
The beach attached to the Vila Sol Complex is about a 10 minute drive away from the apartment, but well worth it. It is set in an area of natural beauty so you drive down an unmade road for about half a mile before you arrive. The sand seems to go on forever and, because you are allowed to use the apartment cards, the sun beds were free (presumably during season only). There is plenty of parking and three good restaurants (nothing else thank goodness). We did find other nice beaches, but of course you pay for the Sun Beds
All in all a great apartment in a great area. We will certainly be going back.

My friends and I had a fabulous break in this lovely apartment. The apartment itself was beautifully decorated and very clean. The Vila Sol complex was ideally located, close to many beautiful beaches for the day and only a short taxi ride into Vilamoura at night. Vila Sol has all the amenities that you need, and we had a great lunch at the golf club. We didn't have time for any treatments at the spa - if only our stay was longer. I am sure we will be back and next time I will be having a spa treatment or two.

This apartment, and in fact the whole complex, was immaculate and ideally situated for looking around the area. The apartment was beautifully furnished and had everything you could possibly need. There is an excellent english type pub and several very good restaurants on site. The Vila Sol Marina is about a ten minute drive and fantastic for eating, just a drink or even just walking. There is no shortage of great restaurants of varying prices. The Vila Sol private beach was fabulous we almost had it to ourselves on some days. There was so much to do and see that we will definitely have to return. The weather was fantastic too, 30 degrees every day in September.

My wife, one year old son and I (complete with Mother-in-Law for one week) enjoyed an excellent holiday in mid July 2009. The apartment was fantastic and exactly as described on the web-site. Very child friendly it offered a real home from home for our one year old and all we needed to cook, clean and entertain him for two weeks (although a Mother-in-Law was an added bonus!).

Spotlessly clean and beautifully finished we would thoroughly recommend this to all looking for an enjoyable family holiday with the added advantage of some fantastic golf on the doorstep. We will certainly return to the apartment in the future if we have not bought in the vicinity ourselves.

Ideally located in close proximity to Vilamoura, Faro and the beautiful beaches of the Algarve, Vila Sol offers a quiet retreat from which to enjoy all this wonderful destination has to offer.

Although the Vila Sol complex offers all you need for your break, we had a hire car for the duration and took the opportunity to visit some traditional villages and enjoyed some great lunches in small seafront restaurants. Also worth a visit in July is an amazing "sand art" display just past Zoomarine (where you can also enjoy a day watching Sea Lions, Dolphins and a great diving show).

All in all we had a great holiday in a very child friendly but peaceful and friendly location and would recommend this apartment to all.
