Sarnia Cottage is in the pretty village of Marazion about 2 miles from Penzance. The village has a general store and bakery along with a number of art galleries. The historic St. Michaels Mount can be reached at low tide by the causeway or a relaxing ferry ride at high tide. The Castle is a National Trust property and the chapel can be visited for the service on a Sunday. Marazion is a wonderful place for children with a safe, sandy beach and a small river in which dinghies can be used. It also has a great adventure playground. Marazion is on the South West Coastal Path which has fantastic walks. Close by is the Lizard peninsula with its' dramatic coastline. Travelling west you can visit Chysauster, Minack Theatre, Lands End, Sennon and Mousehole. St. Ives is less than 10 miles away. Penzance also has a lot to offer with its Victorian seafront swimming pool and its many restaurants. The Scillonian ship sails from Penzance to the Scilly isles everyday during summer months.
