Villa Asteri is completely new luxury villa on two floors, there is a balcony off the upstairs master bedrrom and a large terrace around the house leading out onto an infinity swimming pool with superb sea views. There is a bathroom on each floor - large shower room with WC downstairs and large bathroom with bathtub upstairs. Perfectly situated in a very green and exclusive private area on a hillside the villa enclosed a gate and planted fences and is ideal for a family holiday or for a more cosy holiday for two. Nearly every part of the villa offers unique and breathtaking views over the sea and the small fishing village of Ligia. 800m from the romantic unspoilt village of Katouna with its traditional stone built houses and lovely taverna. The villa is tastefully decorated and furnished with all modern facilities, like satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, Internet access, dishwasher, washing machine and air-conditioning.

Coast/Beach The villa is located on an olive studded hillside between the seaside village of Ligia where some of the best fish restaurants on Lefkas can be found and the unspoilt village of Katouna with its picturesque stone houses and traditional taverna. Lefkas Town is about 7 minutes drive from the villa and around 15 minutes drive are some of the most gorgeous beaches in the Ionian including Agios Nikitas, Kathisma and further down the coast Porto Katsiki. Travel 25km to Preveza airport (where car rental is available at a relatively low cost). 400km to Athens Airport or 4.5 hour drive. Regular bus routes depart from Lefkas to many destinations in Greece. Distances 2 mins by car or 10 mins by foot to the idyllic and unspoilt village of Katouna where it seems time stands still! 5km to Lefkada Town where there are cafes, supermarkets, fashion boutiques etc. 15km to resort of Nidri where there is a variety of daily boat trips, watersports, shops and restaurants

A Rare Jem!

My wife and I booked this wonderful villa through Ownersdirect. We asked for a discount which we got without question. As we went right at the end of the season the surrounding villas were empty so so basically had the place to ourselves. The facilities at the villa are first rate! Nothing was left wanting. Lillias, the lady who looks after you and the villa, was very accommodating, she gave great advice as to where to go and what to see and also kept the place very clean and tidy.

The views from the villa are just breathtaking! Especially from the main bedroom if you sleep with the shutters open you will be woken with the run rising over the mountains - truly wonderful!

The only negative point I would say is that there were a lot of wasps around. On a couple of occasions we had to eat inside as they got a bit too much. But mostly it was fine.

It is possible to walk into the town - but you will need to be fit to walk back as it is very steep in places. But after a hearty lunch/dinner that is no bad thing!

So I would recommend this to anyone who could afford it. You seriously will not be disappointed!
