Sao Joao holiday apartment: Albufeira

My family and I stayed at the Parque da Corcovada complex in August 2008.
To impress two teenage children aged 17 and 18 is rather difficult, however, as soon as we entered the Penthouse apartment the word "WOW" was uttered by them both. As we went from room to room we were all absolutely amazed at the standard which the apartment was furnished and equipped. The wrap around balcony was the icing on the cake as it was so spacious. In fact we were so impressed with the apartment I invited my parents to come and spend the second week with us.
The complex itself was extremely clean and well kept. You will definitely see no 'Lager Louts' here. There were two pools in our part of the complex, ideal for families with young children and these were cleaned daily.
The apartment was a 5 minute walk to the famous "STRIP" for those seeking livlier nightlife with its many bars, eating places and shops.
For a more relaxing night out the Old Town is well worth a visit, however, we would recommend a taxi or bus as it is quite a lengthy walk. It does however offer many wonderful restaurants and we would especially recommend Atrium for atmosphere, delicious food and entertainment. Another of our favourites was Velerio. I am sure however you will enjoy finding your very own favourite.
If you love the beach then we would recommend Praia Da Oura and Santa Eulalia. Although not particulary large both these beaches were extremely clean and offered quality beach restaurants just in case you fancied a snack or cold beer before getting back to some serious sunbathing.
For those of you who like 'All you can Eat' Chinese Buffets the Happy House is a must. This restaurant offers fantastic value, quality and service with a smile !!
Albufeira certainly has something for everyone and we would like to thank Wendy for making our stay so pleasurable. We will definitely be returning in the future.
