A superb, old, stone villa with Perigordine tower.

Covered in ivy and Virginia creeper, this is delightful old, stone villa, with a Perigordine tower, situated between the fascinating towns of Riberac and Perigueux, for a self catering holiday in the beautiful valley of the Dordogne, South West France. The villa is some 500 years old but cleverly renovated to a high standard in the 1960/70's so that it still retains all the charm and character in keeping with it's age and surroundings. Situated in the small hamlet of St Pardoux de Drone, and close to the delightful River Drone, it is in a private location with extensive gardens and superb views over the enchanting valley beyond. Although there are a few neighbours, the property is not overlooked in any way, is very centrally located and within easy driving distance of Riberac, Perigueux, the medieval market town of Sarlat, the wine growing region of Bergerac including the famous town of St Emilion, wonderful walks, canoeing, horse riding and much more.

For main shopping, the pretty town of Riberac is 10 mins drive away. Perigueux is 20mins drive - a beautiful town full of boutiques, restaurants, pavement cafes, superb architecture, old stone walkways and much more. Brantome, another lovely and famous small town is 30 mins, and the centre of the wine growing region, Bergerac, 45 mins. The hisotric and old town of St Emilion (famous for its wine) 40 mins drive. Most of the towns and villages are medieval and all have wonderful street markets, full of superb, fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, regional cheeses and all manner of produce. Popular meeting places for the French and all nationalities, with lots of bustle, chatter and smiley faces where you can be sure of a warm welcome.

The final balance is then due 8 weeks before the rental is due to begin together with a refundable damages deposit of £250. Providing there is no serious damage to the property, this deposit is returned 1 week after the end of the rental period. Serious damage, which may involve visits by electricians, plumbers, swimming pool specialists and any other artisans, will take longer but we always contact clients with details.
