You will love our idyllic (yet not isolated) location. Chez Texier is in the hilltop hamlet of Lusignac (with its own chateau and a great cafe/bar within a few yards) 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an attractive living room with large fireplace and woodburner and a separate well equipped kitchen with french windows onto large south-west terrace. Delightful views from every aspect - landscape of pretty hills and valleys with sunflowers, tobacco and maize. Gorgeous grounds shared with co-owners (all long-established), yet plenty of space and privacy. Large secluded secure pool with heavenly views. Welcoming hall leads into living room with kitchen off. Upstairs is large main double room with fantastic beams and lyrical views, twin-bedded room (also beamed) and full bathroom. Downstairs is another double bedded room with french windows to gardens, and a twin room with washbasin, plus another bathroom with shower cubicle and laundry area. Plenty of storage throughout

Lots of interesting and pretty market towns well within an hour's drive (Brantome, Bourdeilles, Aubeterre, Bergerac) - plus historic larger cities of Angouleme, Perigueux and Bordeaux - and of course the celebrated vineyards and chateaux of the area (including St Emilion). Royan and nearby coastal resorts about 1/ 12 hours drive; famous Dune du Pilat and Arcachon about 2 hours, La Rochelle 2 1/2 hours. Sarlat, Les Eyzies and Caves of Lascaux within 3 hours drive.
