Le Falcette is situated in a rural area amidst orchards, vineyards and woods in the Lucca hills. It is located on the wine road and takes its name from the small stream which runs along the border of the property. The renovated barn has been refurbished using local and original materials. External and internal walls are original stone and there are chestnut-beamed ceilings, terracotta- and stone-tiled floors. Special attention has been given to the restoration both inside and out, and the 5000sqm garden has a traditional setting with orchard and olive groves. It is perfect for families or romantic holidays

Special attention has been given to the restoration both inside and out, and the 5000sqm garden has a traditional setting with orchard and olive groves. The residence is approximately 100sqm. On the groundfloor there is a living area with corner kitchen, a bathroom, cloakroom and a double room. Upstairs, which is reached by an original-style wooden staircase, there is a further bathroom, one double bedroom and one large room that can sleep 4 people.

The residence is 5 km from the city centre of Lucca, medieval town which is strategically situated to enable guests to explore the region. By car, it is about 20 mins from the sea at Torre del lago Puccini in the Versilia region and from the famous discotheques. Pisa is 30mins, Florence 45mins, the Chianti area 1 hour and Siena 2 hours. The Garfagnana region is about one hour away and the ancient and famous thermal baths of Montecatini and Bagni di Lucca are both about 20 minutes drive . Sport lovers can enjoy riding at the local riding-stables, playing tennis or golf at the nearby clubs. Tirrenia golf course is 30mins by car. Seaside sports at nearby Versilia and trekking, visiting caves and excursions in the beautiful countryside in the Garfagnana.

We spend a week in July 2009 in a main house. The place is absolutely amazing. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Lovely Property near Lucca

This farmhouse is beautiful and has been well restored. It is in a lovely setting. We thought the property looked lovely on the photos but it is even better when you get there.

The owners were there to meet us on our arrival and were very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and well presented.

The kitchen was small but had everything necessary. We cooked a few meals very successfully. There is also a good sized barbeque that we used.

If you are visiting Pisa we would suggest you drive to Lucca and park your car at the station car park (1 euro per hour) and take the train. It is about half an hour and takes away the hassle of parking in Pisa.

We had good fun hiring bikes and riding around the walls of Lucca.

Perfect location for a 'get away from it all' holiday but you can still find plenty to do if you want to.
