Photos and Description of this Bordeaux holiday apartment 2 bedroom self-catering with own terrace and elevator.

Our newly renovated apartment is at the top of an 18th century building, in the centre of World Heritage listed Bordeaux. There is a spectacular view from the terrace, overlooking the river, Porte de Bourgogne and the Ponte de Pierre. As well as the beautiful spiral staircase, there is also an elevator. Accommodation is for 2-4 people, with 2 bedrooms (each with 2 single beds that can be made into a double). Linen and cleaning is included in the cost. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with separate toilet. It is only 100 metres away from the best weekend vegetable and antique markets in the region, and a short walk from Rue St Catherine, the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe. Taxis can stop outside the door and the tram stop is just 50 metres away, there is also a parking station nearby. Our manager will be there to greet and show you around and is on call should you need anything during your stay.

Our Bordeaux apartment is an ideal base for sightseeing. Close-by are Gothic cathedrals, wonderful markets, the biggest pedestrian shopping precinct in Europe, and excellent restaurants and night-life. There are also museums, art galleries and antique shops. Further afield you can see châteaux, castles, pretty villages, major wine tourism destinations with famous vineyards, and nearby there are beautiful beaches such as Cap Feret.

The perfect pied a terre in Bordeaux

It is difficult not to fall into a trap of using too many superlatives when describing the Bordeaux Terrace and so losing the impact that any review of this Bordeaux apartment merits.

The location is ideal for anyone visiting Bordeaux -- right next to the old town with all its little cobblestoned streets, its sights, vast choice of shops and restaurants, conveniently next to the main tram line, right on the river bank overlooking one of the most beautiful bridges in France -- the Pont St Pierre, and with something very special for Bordeaux -- a terrace on the top floor of the building overlooking the Gironde River.

The apartment is tastefully but simply furnished and equipped with everything a visitor needs to feel completely at home.
Bordeaux is a National Heritage Site and a must-see on a visit to France, and the Bordeaux Terrace apartment is the only possible place to stay!

What a wonderful place in a great location! We found the owners and the manager so friendly and helpful. We had looked at dozens of other places and found nothing as welcoming at The Terrace! Thank you, Merci!

Charming and stylish

What a pleasure to stay somewhere that does not feel like a rental property. This was like a home, with all the little luxuries. I loved the "wine on arrival" concept and the kitchen with a induction stove.

The location was perfect, the view was stunning and we made several day trips to vineyards. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed,

Very stylish apartment in a great location

My husband and I, and our two grown children stayed here for four days and had a wonderful time. The roof terrace was a real treat; we are not used to apartment living and it opened up the outside world for us. We were well placed for visiting nearby sights such as St Emilion, Margaux, Arcachon and the Dunes.
We did find the kitchen a little small for cooking meals and not having a microwave was a drawback. But we coped and all the equipment was to a good standard (IKEA).
The stairs were a challenge, but we all managed. The lift worked but we used it mainly for transporting luggage and shopping. We would be very pleased to stay there again next time we visit Bordeaux.
I noted that the two owners are from NZ, and since I was born in Christchurch, NZ, I felt extra welcome.
