Villa Moledos is a very comfortable modern one bedroom Villa with large barbeque area private drive way and sunbathing area, situated on the side of a mountain over looking a beautiful valley and the beach of Madalena do Mar. The Villa has been tastefully decorated and with a fully equiped kitchen, you have all the amenities you need for a very relaxing self catering holiday. The Villa was completed in 2007. The Villa has two very nice bathrooms and the bedroom opens out onto a balcony with fantastic views. it is surrounded by tropical fruit trees and cultivated land. Nearby are many of the best levada walks minutes from the front door. Villa Moledos is just 8 minutes drive to Calheta Beach the only sandy beach in Madeira with its Marina restaurants and bars.

Lovely Villa looking down the valley to the beach resort of Madelena do Mar, on the Sunny South Coast of Madeira, only a 15 minute drive to the sandy beach of Calheta, or a 25 minute drive into the city of Funchal. This Villa is in an ideal location for exploring the island , and gets you out of the tourist trap in funchal, Eating out and drinking is much cheaper in the local restaurants and bars nearby.

The photos of this little home barely do it justice. The countryside and view is very beautiful and you are alone and private. We watched the sun come over the hillside in the mornings and from then on we were bathed in it. The patio and barbeque area are spacious, as is the whole property and the kitchen is well equipped so on a couple of days we just wandered between them and the sunbeds. Just what we needed. The house is very clean and new and lots of space for a couple. If you are quite fit - it is very hilly and want somewhere rural, with barely a house in view except down in the valley, I cannot imagine anything much nicer. You need a car.
Owner's Response: Its excellent to have such nice reviews for this property, and it really is in a peaceful location, looking down the valley to the beach below. A car is needed as they say , and i would suggest anyone staying on Madeira to have a car and really explore this beautifull island.

This property is ideal for a couple looking for a truely relaxing holiday, plenty of outside space for BBQs, and soaking up the sun, and ideal for walkers wanting to explore some of the true Madeira.

A wonderful villa

We stayed at the villa in July and had the best 10 days holiday we can remember.

The Island is lovely, full of untainted culture and good food. The Villa is amazing: it is big and modern, without feeling too soulless. We loved the BBQ area and made good use of it, cooking fresh tuna steaks, prawns and other local produce. The views from the balconies are awesome and are not blocked by anything, other than the plants which seem alive with wildlife (in a good way).

We think this villa deserves a 5/5 rating, because it was as close to perfect as possible.

Un sitio increible. Tranquilo, bello, limpio, nuevo y todo lo que se os ocurra. Nos dio una pena tremenda tener que irnos. Lo único que se puede decir en su contra es que precisa de coche (especialmente para comprar, a la playa se puede bajar andando, ojo, para andarines) y que no tiene bidé(para los que estén acostumbrados a su uso). Playa y supermercados a 5 minutos (en coche). La dueña habla español y es muy agradable. Buen sitio como base para hacer excursiones por toda la isla.
Si volvemos a Madeira, repetiremos sin duda.
Ojo a la rampa de entrada (y en general en las excursiones por la isla) con vehículos de poca cilindrada, mejor motores grandes o diesel.
